I dont get how Margarito had been a champ for years and NO-one fights him but no-one said anything about those guys who didnt fight him, but the moment Mayweather moved to 147 he was deem to be ducking Margarito.
Floyd turned down $8million to fight margarito in 2006

You could make the argument for one fight but Zab Judah flat out said, "I don't want to fight Margarito."I dont make the rules in boxing, I watch it and go by whatever rules has been set, And according to boxing rules Judah either has to fight Baldomir or give up his belts and he choose to defend his belts against his mandatory..
Williams also had to give up his belt because he couldnt get lucrative fights, But if Margarito chose to keep his then thats is own business, No-one is obligated to fight you unless you're mandated to or unless the big TV guys want the fight and are willing to put the money down.
Margarito wasn't a champ for a short window, he was a champ for years. And holding the belt wouldn't have stopped any fight--we do have unification bouts every now and then, ya know? Besides, at one point he actually gave up his belt and moved to 154 because he couldn't get any fights at 147.Comment

Tony ducked no one because he wanted the biggest payday possible. His opposition was whoever was willing to face him so no one should really bash him for that. The bolded is what my point is. It was never realistic. I wanted to see Floyd fight Cotto before he retired and Tony would have been icing. I knew he would be back and I just hoped his hands would be at 100% and he could fight all the guys that were/are at the top.It would've been nice if Floyd fought Margarito but I don't think it was too realistic. What pisses me off though is when these fights became feasible, he retired. Whatever, I'm not mad at him.
However, to pretend as if Margarito fought garbage comp is ridiculous (not specifically pointing at u). He fought everyone no one wanted to fight because no one wanted to fight him! Cintron, Williams, Clottey, etc. He fought whoever he could.Comment

I don't think people felt Floyd ducked him, but I do remember in late 2006 it was the fight everyone wanted to see--more so than Baldomir.
Ehh, whatever.Comment

damn you are right about that... that Cotto-Marg winner was Floyd's only option really in 08... Unless he was gonna be creative like Oscar and go after Pac, which he would of been highly critisized for back thenI know. I addressed that already. Marg's mandate to fight him was there after Baldo, but gone when Pwill UD'd him. but by the time DLH and Hatton were finished, Marg had smoked Cintron and Cotto in a 3 month span to take over the WW division. Mr boat buyer wasn't gettin the $ he wanted for the DLH rematch, so he was stuck wit no choice but to fight the winner of the upcomin Cotto-Marg fight...or retire. And he retired.Comment

Yup. That's why I'm not really mad at Floyd. Hindsight is 20/20.Tony ducked no one because he wanted the biggest payday possible. When has Floyd fought somebody 2 weight divisions lower???????????????????????????
Tony fought Golden Johnson.. lightweight...what about that.?
Tony didn't call-out Forrest or Spinks...and if he did SO WHAT?
He didn't bring **** to the table.
All that scab had to do was DUMP THE WBO TITLE AND BECAME RANKED...but he CHOSE to hide in WBO land like Joe Calzhage.
So his opponent on September is a WW right??
GJ fought like 5 fights at WW before he faced Margs, you failed on that. How many fights has Marquez done at WW??
He had no reason to call Forrest out, he lost to Mayorga.
Yea, like Baldy brought a lot of PPV buys
.
Well when people don't want to fight you cause of the risk, can't blame him. He at least fought the best in his division when given the chance. What did Floyd do?? That's right, RETIRE......only to come back against a LW. And this guy says he's greater than SRR?? lmao!!!Comment

I doubt that's why he retired...why would he cancel a fight with DLH? He would have made WAY MORE than a fight against Margarito. I think he just wanted a break from the sport and to rest them fragile hands...I know. I addressed that already. Marg's mandate to fight him was there after Baldo, but gone when Pwill UD'd him. but by the time DLH and Hatton were finished, Marg had smoked Cintron and Cotto in a 3 month span to take over the WW division.
