I wonder if this is going to cause Cotto to be even more upset with Arum. I think Lopez is going to tear some **** up, but Arum needs to match him tougher in his next fight. He is past that prospect stage. Even though I don't really view a fight with Gamboa as competitive, I still wouldn't mind seeing it because Gamboa would have a puncher's chance. But Gamboa's lack of defense would cost him against Lopez more than likely.

Not everybody can be pleased. If Cotto doesn't speak people say he should speak more, call people out and smile a little more, critizicing his personality

If Juanma has some swagger, ****iness, calls out anybody and everybody and say he will KO all his opponents people say it's bad also.

Don't forget that boxers are human and each one have their on personality. Not ever person (boxer in this case) will please ever fan.

Let the boxer (person in this case) be who he actually is.

Just enjoy (or don't, if you wish) what he's doing when he's actually fighting.

we've been knowing this in P.R. ever since juanma came out, that hesgoing 2 become the next great big thing.....as 4 cotto being bothered, puerto rican fighters dont envy other boricua fighters, they actually feel pride that another is representing this great island..i'll give an example, when wilfredo gomez fought lupe pintor in new orleans he was in the undercard of wilfred benitez & tommy hearns.....gomez back then was already a very big star...to puerto ricans even bigger than benitez....our stars dont mind sharing the stage as long as our flag flyes high.....yeah baby.. PUERTO RICO always representing

It's ok to confirm that he didn't look pretty. And thats ok.But taking away his competition in the sweet science sport is intolerant.

Only the november fight with pac can tell. With that being said if a deal falls through.
the oct fight proves nothing. pac is too small.

JML is the future of PR... cotto is already on the downslide (unless he gets a new trainer)

I like Juanma and he does seem to have the same type of reation in fans like Tito use to have. He also has a lot of tools to become and i repeat to become one of the great fighter from Puerto Rico. I also agree with Iceta on his comments saying that Juanma in passed is prospect a status.

However to me he is an exciting raising star and I repeat raising. I don't think he is a star yet and he has still a long way to go actually become a star and even more to go, to be a superstar.

I really doubt that if he fight in MSG during this year he will fill the arena, because that can only be done by stars or superstars. He need better competition in his resume especially he needs to beat another superstar to get to the next level. Similiar to what DLH meant for Tito and Mosley meant for Cotto (now with Pacman he can even raise more his standing).

I will be proud and happy to follow this exciting Puerto Rican and I truelly would hope that he continues his way to become a superstar. After all Puerto Rico needs it. it was lovely and breath taking to see a whole county in unity, even if it was for 1 night (Tito's fight night), to follow one of his countryman. Even the criminals use to take the day off for a Tito fight.

Probably the outcome of the fight Pacman-Cotto won't mean nothing or proves nothing to you but if Cotto wins for sure his standing will raise, for sure his value($$$) will raise and for sure he will raise in the P4P ranking.

Now if he lose, it will be the other way around.

At this point the opinion on who beats who for the Pacman-Cotto fight seams 50/50 so not only the outcome will prove something for both boxers careers but for boxing also. The outcome of this fight could change a lot of future fights that people would want to see.

However I do agree that Juanma is the Future of PR in boxing.

Juanma is the real deal. I think he's already proven more to me than Cotto has. He still young, and he's beating top fighters convincingly, what more can you ask for. Too bad he signed with Top Rank, I hope he keeps fighting good fighters, not a cupcakes like some other top rank fighters.

Old news to everybody in P.R. and people that know boxing in general. Juanma will be P4P #1 in 2-3 years.

Yeah, were actually the only country that have photos of all our champions posing together, and if you go to a Cotto, Calderon, Juanma fight etc. there are always other champions rooting for the guy fighting. Only Santos doesnt really appear to this fights, but Ive seen him in some Carlos Velazquez fights and hes also appeared in amateur invitationals along with the prospect Orlando "El Fenomeno" Cruz.
