Cotto has fans cause he's a warrior and his fights are exciting but other than that, he has no personality and very boring. Cotto sounds like a robot when he speaks and Puerto Ricans don't think he's humble, they say that he's a snob. Juanma on the other hand acts like a kid that you could hang out with, very personable, humble and also sporting a huge smile... People like that.... Look at Muhammed Ali....
    great points

Knock out artists always will be popular and it doesn't hurt to keep on winning impressively to want to see that fighter again. There are characters in all type of sports and some people benifit from their antics, some don't and their stock goes down.

Juanma reminds a lot of people what Trinidad was " all smiles out of the ring and very humble and all business once he step in the ring" plus he has become a KO artist this far in his career and alot of people like that, he should clean his division very soon and move up and he will be alot bigger than what he aready is, he has a huge puertorican crowd to support him like they did Tito and now are doing for Cotto, Miguel is a different type of guys because his personality, he's all business all the time, and doesn't speak to much, he never calls out anyone, he just let "His Company" choose the oponents, one thing that has help Cotto a bit has been his effort of speaking english so a lot of reporters come to him without the need of a translator. Tito and Juanma they like to brag and call people out wich is something alot of people like to see a boxer looking to fight the best and never backing down or looking for excuses. Very different styles on all this boxer, But about Juanma he will go long way IMO.

OF COURSE Bob is saying this... he KNOWS COTTO or PACMAN have to lose in the next fight.. so fat Bob wants to throw some attention in another direction to prep himself...

as far as JuanMa is concerned... great fighter. can he generate the same kind of excitement as Cotto??? NOOOOOOO

            Dear Bob,
These are the dangers of pursuing so many "in-house" fights. Eventually your OWN fighters are going to start beating each other.

I remember some time ago no one WANTED to see Margarito and Cotto but Arum.
No one even THOUGHT of Cotto with Pacman... or JCC Jr with Pacman... or Valero with Pacman... except BOB "Mutha****in" ARUM. I hate him... If he choked on a corndog I wouldn't miss him that much... HE is the reason we haven't had Cotto v Mayweather.. the reason why Cotto went on to pick up Paul Williams' strap after he vacated instead of ACTUALLY fighting him.

I hope Cotto goes to GBP and loses Arum's dumb ass

Damage goods??? I have to disagree. He's been in 2 wars and all of the sudden he's being recycled?

One fight being way of cement blocks and another being from way of a cut.
It's ok to confirm that he didn't look pretty. And thats ok.But taking away his competition in the sweet science sport is intolerant.

Only the november fight with pac can tell. With that being said if a deal falls through.

Its too early to deny the excitment Juanma can build.

Cotto can collect his belongings and head anywhere else.

And cotto vs mayweather never happened because he retired at the time.He retired when the division was hott and returned when the division got hotter.Arum has said it all along for a while with cotto vs mayweather.

I dont know. I think Valero or Oscar Linares might end his rise glory. More specifically Valero, 25 wins, 25 KOs, 0 losses. Linares is good too but he fights really stiff and throws weird bolo looking body punches.

Unless Arum shelters him and doesn't allow him to fight big names until he earns a vacated belt.
