How Pacquiao vs Cotto will play out

Ok i'm going with Pacquiao in this one regardless of what weight the fights at. It can be at 143,144,145,146,147 and Pacquiao will still be victorious in the fight. I dont see Cotto being able to get Manny pinned onto the ropes to get a sustained attack on him, Mannys just to fast on his feet. I'm not saying Mannys a runner here but he gets himself out of range of the counter very quickly.

If you look at the Hatton fight (Hattons faster on his feet than Cotto) Hatton really thought going in that he'd be fast enough to match Manny around the ring, this obviously wasn't the case....It became aparent very quickly he wasn't when he started trying to grab Manny and force his body onto the ropes.

Freddie will tell Manny the same as he's told him the last 3 fights, "the ropes are hot, as soon as you feel your back touch them get the hell out". Now, i know with Manny being a southpaw he's coming straight in towards Cottos left hook which is his money punch but even if Cotto does manage to land this how is he going to finish a guy who will be out of range before he can follow it up?

Another thing is Cottos stamina, he's not strong after 6 rounds in a fight and for me this is the biggest key to Mannys victory. For the first half of the fight Manny is going to be coming in and out crazy fast with a variety of shots from different angles, and as good as Cottos timing is its near impossible to time a fighter as good and as fast as Manny has become.

Cottos going to waste a lot of energy early on in this fight just trying to keep up with Pacquiaos intensity while trying to pin him down. After the 6 round mark i think Manny will go up an extra gear just as Cottos going down one, he'll throw more power shots, more combos and really break Cotto up.

I look for this fight to end around the 9th-10th by either Cottos corner stopping the fight or by ref stoppage. Manny just has to much speed, power, stamina and intensity for a fighter who fades down the stretch like Cotto.

If manny can find space in the ring to move, cotto is done. Cotto will be spending the whole night following manny around the ring trying to pin him down, manny will be on the front foot with leads as cotto comes in. Freddy will work on making sure manny has space to move and fire, or he will have to work on manny's punches off the backfoot.

But if cotto loses this one its because he cant cut the ring off effectivley.

This is coming from a Hatton fan. Get over it your boy wasn't all that. I even had Hatton beating Pac, but I never really followed Hatton's career. Cotto is not Hatton...end thread now!!!

Im just curious as to what are you all going to do when man gets his face smashed in?
                mass suicide?
or flame jump to another fighter like most of you have done?

Agreed, Hatton has zero quit in him where as Cotto, well, ya know.

Anyway, back on topic. Another major key late when Manny goes up a gear while Cotto fades is Cottos inability to fight on the back foot.

hatton sure knows how to get KTFO, tho!!!!!

Coto will push Manny back with a tight guard and his jab, Something Hatton doesnt know about!!!!!!!!
