Trainer freddie roach recently told *********.com that manny pacquiao deserves 70% of the payday in a fight against miguel cotto. Coach noted that cotto doesn't have a history of delivering ppv buys like pacquiao does. Cotto's best remains 425,000 buys for his fight against antonio margarito while pacquiao did 1.25 million buys for his fight against oscar de la hoya and nearly 1 million buys for his fight against ricky hatton. Pacquiao's lawyer franklin gacal has already said that pacquiao won't accept less than a 65%/35% split with cotto.

Roach also agreed to 144-145 catchweight.

Promoter bob arum says that the fight will happen at the mgm grand but probably not on the date pacquiao wants, october 17th, due to competition with the world series.

"we've told manny about fighting on that date, and not on oct. 17, because of the world series," arum said. "you can't compete with free tv and baseball is big among puerto ricans. We'll be charging $50 for them to watch us and we can't compete with free television."
