Is Cotto a better Boxer than Juan Manuel Marquez?

I voted yes because I know where this idiot is coming from. Marquez has an edge in boxing and counterpunching department but Cotto is better at being offensive, going to the body and coming foward.

People act as his Marquez is this super boxer who can outbox anyone, he's a good counterpuncher with solid skills but he does get hit and hit a lot. Diaz was getting to him clean had he had more power behind his punches Marquez would have being in a lot of trouble.

I see both Cotto and Marquez even as fighters, Marquez is better in some areas Cotto is better in others.

With all due respect to Miguel (as he's come very far from where he once was) ; no. No way in hell is he a better boxer than Juan Manuel Marquez.

Marquez doesn't make ******ed mistakes like using his legs too much and expending all of his energy, or laying on the ropes for extended periods of time while his opponet pummels his face at will with uppercut after uppercut.

Marquez's boxing capability and in ring I.Q. are lightyears beyond what Miguel is capable of.

And that's no knock to Cotto, either.

Marquez is just that damn good. He's like a beefed up version of Ricardo Lopez.

Ima fan of Cotto's, but anyone that actually believe Cotto is on par with Marquez in the boxing category needs to re-evaluate their knowledge of boxing.

Marquez is good but he's not a better fighter than Cotto, his boxing skills and counterpunching are better but Cotto offsets that with his offensive ability and body work. Marquez is better boxer than Cotto but as fighters I see them as equals.
