No, he's not.

Marquez is lightyears beyond what Cotto is capable of.

Marquez is a guy that's capable of switching out punches in the middle of a flurry with ease, landing said punches cleanly, and then avoiding the return fire.

And he does it against Elite competition, no less.

Cotto's a good boxer, but he's too flawed to be compared to Marquez ; who is arguably one of the most technically gifted fighters of the last 20 years.

They are about the same, While JMM is a better counter puncher, Cotto is a better body puncher. Actualy thats the only difference.

good point. that's what i keep saying, pacquiao only has a fighters chance, but if he couldn't take oscar out, he aints taking Cotto out that's for sure.

Don't sleep on the Oscar fight. I'm 110% for sure if Oscar only did not quit. The next round he will be koed and he might be suffered brain damaged there. Beside the game plan was to win by decision thats why he's not setting on his punches. I think Roach and Pac will use the same game plan they used on Oscar. ''Hit and not to be hit'' using Pac's speed advantage and go for the kill in later rounds when Cotto's stamina is gone.

I would say no, JMM for me is a better technical boxer than cotto..Cotto is naturally bigger so an outcome in a fight with Pacquiao might be different from what happen in the JMM/Pacman fight.

They have different styles and it's a different weight class, Different boxers with different matchups, they don't have the same oponnents in their resume like Cotto / Mayweather...but they are same as good in what they do..good punchers with good chin, great speed and good stamina...To me, they are both in the top 10 p4p best.

But... What.. I'm lost.. Bigger, then power, speed, styles all those together Cotto will need to bring down Pac. The only thing that Cotto has over JMM is being bigger and because of that he will be able to beat Pac? Clottey is big for you guys? bigger than Cotto?
