No, he does not have the boxing skill or ability that JMM does.

That's not a knock on Cotto, I don't think Pac can box with JMM. JMM is just not the athlete that Pac is and that's why it's such a great fight between the two. It's JMM's boxing vs Pac ferocity and speed.

Cotto is a good boxer, not a great one. His defense is nowhere on the level that JMM's is.
Floyd and Ivan are light years ahead of JMM. His defense isn't too great either, IMO.

No, Marquez is the more adaptable fighter, with a greater sense of timing, has a good jab and right hand, good to the body, his area of weakness at present is defence. But in terms of boxing skill, the brain is what separates these two, marquez constantly thinks his way through fights which is pretty hard to do if your taking big shots to the head. He took big shots against diaz and adapted, he went down 3 times against pac, and worked out how to avoid the left hand, so its marquez for me. Although i gotta say cotto is a very good boxer and his defence has come on leaps and bounds.

Agreed, if donaire sorts out the right hand and move his head more, he will be up there as well.

no, cotto can't touch jmm's jock strap (no ****), but cotto is just too big for pac. its not fair to send in a middlweight to fight a welterweight. but if pac signs the dotted line then he signed his own death.

Again, if Pacquiao can get off before cotto, cotto will be on the back foot at the very least, getting hurt at worst, either way he wont be set long enough to get off his best punches.

Cotto's best work comes of the jab, or when he's cornered a fighter, if manny can find enough space get in and out, cotto is getting kayod.

Maybe if he didn't fight against Clottey with one eye constantly dripping blood into it...
