Pacquiao seeks 65-35 purse split in proposed Cotto fight

I don't know why this fights not more even on the purse, Cottos a huge name too. Hell, I'm a white guy who roots for both Pacquiao and Cotto. So they're both clearly big names. Pacquiao has a whole country that roots for him and more, and Cotto has a country that roots for him and more.

And both have fought the best fighters out their recently. Cotto taking on clottey, margarito, mosley and judah. And Pacquiao taking on Oscar, Hatton, Diaz(i know he isn't great but he is tough as nails), and Marquez.

Idk, this isn't floyd mayweather who just recently came out of retirement and hasn't fought someone for over 2 yrs. This is Cotto, who clearly has fought the best WWs out their. Someone explain to me how 65-35 is fair when both have huge fan-bases! Floyd couldn't even sell his fight against Marquez so maybe 65-35 in favor of Pacquiao vs Floyd isn't crazy.

but manny is in the spotlight right now....

65-35 will be fine.. cos if cotto win... he will be the one... getting the lion share for the next fight...

Let him have his 65-35...If Cotto beats Manny...In his next fight he will get the split in his favor.

And of course all the big names will be lining up at his door for a fight.

Seriously though, the article says Manny wants October and he's been stating he wants to fight in October for months. It may be a bit soon for Cotto's cut but he's still going to have almost 3 months of healing before camp and I thought Cotto was a warrior!?!
