The best thing about Whitaker that hardly any other fighter ive seen is capable of is..........he almost NEVER misses an opportunity to counter when he makes you miss, he gets pissed at himself on the few occasions when he does not make you pay.

He is the most skilled fighter IVE ever seen, i dont confess to have seen every great fighter, but from the ones ive myself he is the most skilled imo.

I laugh how people say hes better than Floyd Mayweather, Pernell has been knocked down in his career and hurt....he got knocked down by fkin Roger Mayweather out of all people for ****s sake haha

Mayweather has never been down and rarely ever gets hit clean, he is far superior to Pernell ****licker
Of course floyd's defense looks spectacular,u answered ur own bull**** in ur first sentence, except its the other way around, see Sweet Pea fought the prime DLH,Trinidad and Chavez's of boxing, floyd fought the Gatti's and Baldomir's of the sport, now little guy, please explain the vast difference in resume's and how floyds defense should be compaired now!!!

                      Lightweights: Roberto Duran

Many modern and veteran boxing analysts consider Roberto Duran to be the greatest lightweight champion of all time. He easily ranks among the top 3. His peak record was 72-1 with 56 knockouts, during which time he reigned undefeated as world lightweight champion for 6 years and also won the world welterweight title. As lightweight kingpin he successfully defended the title 12 times, 11 by knockout. In his career he beat Ken Buchanan, Esteban Dejesus, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Iran Barkley. Duran was more than just a strong infighter; he was a master at slipping punches and counter-punching. Only Joe Gans and Benny Leonard rate with Duran as equal peers at 135 pounds. Apologies to Pernell Whitakker who could make them miss, but could not make them pay like those guys could.
