While it is not a fight that will be forgotten soon, there was no other option because it is certainly not the biggest catch-weight WW fight of all time. No way. Chavez/Whitaker was twice the size! Absolutely huge and if many remember back to then they will remember just what was at stake in that fight. That fight outweighed any fight that could happen today apart from maybe Pac/Mayweather, but even that is a long shot.
