I would like to see someone post the reactions of the boxing experts when they learn about the comparison being made here.

How long have you been watching boxing? Your compairing Ali first ballet HOF to Wlad? I asked the same thing in a post I started... what whould he have to do to even be considered... But this post is really off base bro. Ali changed what people thought a Heavyweight fighter was, from a plotting one punch offence to an array of combinations and fleeting footwork... it was watching an artform. He fought in a division thought to be arguably one of the greateset era's in Heavyweight boxing history, decorarted with a plethera of HOFmers...
Naw man, if you watch boxing you should know better! As opposed to defending your standpoint think about it... watch Ali...watch Wlad.

- "Liz Taylor is the most beautiful woman of the world"

All these statements have the same quality & validity as "Ali is the greatest and will always be the greatest". Pure childhood delusion, expert indoctrination and circular group dynamics.
Yup, don't tell me. I know exactly that the last thing Ali-nostalgists will do is to actually CHECK THE RECORD of Ali or to actually watch modern heavies in an UNBIASED manner.
Like whom? Featherfist Jimmy Young (34-19)? Or half-blind Frazier? Hmm, let me guess: Bummy Wepner (35-14) or featherfisty cruiser Jimmy Ellis (40-12)? WHERE ARE THE OH-SO-STELLAR OPPONENTS OF MUHAMMAD THAT WLAD COULDN'T BEAT? Come on, make me laugh. But spare me his cruiser wins, and spare me anyone I mention in my sig.
How come that Ali fans are usually Wlad haters? It just takes them a few sentences before they show their real ugly hater face. Al Coholic admitted that he HATES Wladimir Klitschko. Why should we expect anything neutral from a Wlad hater in a Wlad/Ali thread?
Aha, do we have here another Ali-nostalgists who lives in the past, but can forsee the future? If past time delusion doesn't work then resort to future delusion?
It would be like compairinf sprinters of then and now... but what we can look at is thier time and the tallent pool they came from. Back in that day they fought for 1 belt today they fight all over... back in the day boxing was wildly more popular... now not so much as they compete with other popular sports to attain athletes.
Look at what Wlad has done and who his rivals are within his tallent pool. There isn't really anyone there, and his brother won't figt him to unify the belts (we all know who would win that bout...) So here is this Champion who isn't even considered the best but yet holds all the belts... I dunno man. Ali fought and yeah fought and lost too but his tallent pool was far far superior to this generations. Boxing is in it's twilight now... and the Champion reflects that era. I'm not a hater just a realist.

[QUOTE=R.Winky Wright;5569003]Are you compairing the "time" or the fighters and what they did in thier time. casue those are totally two different comparisons. Athlets now of course they are better look at how much civilization has developed in terms of nutrisun... how much more we know about our bodies. Considering that a heavyweight was around 200lbs 6'3 to now it's 6'6 250lbs.
