Ali vs Lyle took 6 1/2 years before the end of Ali's career. If Wlad ends his career in 6 1/2 years I don't think anyone could claim that the Chagaev fight was at the end of Wlad's career.
Let me also add that this thread title is not "The closest thing to PRIME Muhammad Ali".

Ali had his first heavyweight fight 1961 (against Sabedong, a 31-year-old 17-16 bum). The Ali-Lyle fight was 13 years later (1975). Basically comparable to Klitschko's heavyweight debut (1996) and his Chagaev fight (2009) = 12 years later, except that Ali-Lyle was Ali's 49th fight (actually only Ali's 26th fight since the rest were against cruisers) and Klitschko-Chagaev was Klitschko's 56 heavyweight fight.
In other words: After basically the same amount of years Klitschko fought MORE THAN TWICE THE AMOUNT OF HEAVYWEIGHT OPPONENTS.
Please stop inventing stuff about "the end of Ali's career" and "shot Ali". If Ali has been shot then because of his own overweight and his crappy defense.

Now if you claim, that "Ali was a rather good cruiser", then I could live with that.Last edited by knn; 06-24-2009, 08:33 AM.

As a person Wlad is head and shoulders over trashtalking Ali. I think all this trashtalk and self-uphyping went so much into Ali's head, that he he is still caught in it. That's why even today he insults interviewers and behaves like a child.Last edited by knn; 06-24-2009, 08:50 AM.

I like to read your posts, and I thank you that you engage in a disciplined conversation without throwing around Bad Karma.

Tim Horton is a Wlad hater ("There was nothing funnier to me than watching Wlad floundering around like a salmon trying to swim down stream every time Corrie Sanders nailed him"). Haters like him throw around Bad Karma without engaging in discussions. Another proof for my statements.
