Erik lands the heavier blows and outworks Marquez over 12 rounds.

Yup. If Castillo Coralles hadn't happened that **** would have been fight of the year.

Honestly guys I think Marqez may hit harder. Morales was more of a accumilation guy.

he also got rocked by a not-so-brutal puncher in Juan Diaz...i think his chin gets a fair assesment, its his recovery speed that's top notch...his recovery time is very evander-eque

Agreeed. Morales couldnt hurt David Diaz enough to k.o him while JMM k.o'd the usually iron chinned CAsa and Juan Diaz.

The Terrible picks up the Dynamite, not knowing what it is, only to get countered with a TNT-like explosion. In other words, JMM's counter punching befuddles Morales for 12 rounds.

Btw, did you guys saw Chris John vs J.M. Marquez??? ****, John looked like an amateur in there and you know that guy is a master boxer. Luckily for him it was in Indonesia so you already know what was going to happen in the scorecards. Prime Marquez was straight up whooping Prime Chris John for all 12 rounds.

Yes. JMM has once punch power. Also he carries power into the later round, like really the Casa KO came out of nowhere, and the Diaz KO was also surprising.

Oooh, good fight. If this fight was happening now I'd pick Morales on points. Would have been a terrific battle, no doubt.

Well there you can argue that Morales, although still pretty young(early 30s), was pretty much shot and past prime from all the wars. Not to mention he just lost to Zahir Raheem and got annihilated by Pacquiao in their rematch and rubber match.

Yes. Marquez got robbed blind in that fight.
