This year has been one of the poorest years for boxing.

Yeah but even the boxing after dark series and shobox have taken a step back. Shobox used to be on atleast twice a month but now it seems like its closer to once every two months. I hate to admit this but I think ESPN has done the best job with the money that they have allocated into the sport. Having Lara, Korbov, Gamboa, and Jacobs has made their fights exciting. They may not be facing the top fighters but in my eyes seeing them grow and show off their skills has been more exciting then see HBO/SHO only spend money when they have a chance to make good profits. The inactivity of these networks is frustrating if you ask me.

It just hasn't got going, really.

There have been some really good fights (think they were all this year, correct me if I'm wrong) -

      JMM vs Diaz
      Pac vs Hatton
      Froch vs Taylor
      Pascal vs Dianconu
      Cotto vs Clottey
      Berto vs Collazo
      Mosley vs Maragarito
      Adamek vs Cunningham

But all the postponements, and the big gaps between fights (last year seemed to have a decent fight nearly every week) has been annoying. Especially as this year was projected to be a stellar year.

But with Pac vs Cotto, Haye vs Wlad possibly being revived, and Floyd coming
      back, it should get better.

Yeah and over the next two months how many events like that do you have? Two, maybe three.

i thought this year started off great. it's only these recent cancellations and postponements that are getting to us.
