Now it's OFFICIAL, Michael Moorer fired by Freddie Roach!

The writer Brad Cooney is a close friend of Roach so I think this source is reliable.

Breaking News: Michael Moorer Fired by Freddie Roach
    Brad Cooney

Hollywood, CA- Former heavyweight champion Michael Moorer has been fired by Freddie Roach due to a conflict of personalities that had been creating issues amongst the wild card stable.

8countnews.com has just been informed by Freddie Roach that Moorer was asked to leave his position as assistant trainer primarily due to tension between Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan.

Freddie went on to say, “ Amir Kahn approached me and said; Freddie I want you to be my trainer, not Michael Moorer”According to Roach, Pacquiao's sediments are the same concerning Moorer.

Additionally, 8CN was informed by Freddie Roach that he want's to make it clear that there were no hard feelings and thanks Michael for his contributions during his brief involvement with the Wild Card Gym.

I think Roach did the right thing...Moorer looks like he rubs people the wrong way.

He always came off like huge **** to me.

I knew this was bound to happen. Moorer is at the begining stages of being a trainer and the difference between being trained by Roach and Moorer is gigantic. Freddie Roach is still game but his disability will not allow him to go on forever.

The whole bullying tactic he used by telling visitors of the Wildcard to give up a dollar for leaning over the front desk was bad, bad rep for the gym.

But, I actually met and talked with Moorer when I stopped by the WildCard just a few months ago and he was pretty chill actually, even took a picture with him.

I've been to the WildCard a couple of times, and in a way I think Moorer was good for the place because Roach, as many of us know is dealing with a serious disease, needs that "enforcer" in the gym and Moorer was that presence, then again, it's a boxing gym, pick which one you wanna pick a fight with, lol.

I'm kinda bummed about this news, just because I thought PAC could pick a few things from Moorer that maybe Roach will never see, since Moorer is a southpaw himself and a world-class one at that. Even Roach mentioned in one of his interviews that, that was one of the pluses of having Moorer being a second - eye to PAC's training is that he's a southpaw.

But, at the end of the day, it's not how much insight a coach has, but can a trainer get along with the fighter. The fighter must be willing to listen first for that knowledge to sink in.

Really? Im not sure where but I think it was from 24/7 series or one of those commentators saying that Moore had good chemistry with the fighters. Guess not.

Moorer coming to Pacman camp was like an episode of a Sitcom where they bring some unknown member in for a few episodes and then write him out when they figured out what the hell they were thinking.

Seven out of Married with Children and Roy (Poochie) Simpsons episode comes to mind.

Moorer will only charge counter-leaners if they have a skunky breath. If you got them tic-tacs on, you'll be fine.
