Abraham to move to 168 after Oral!

German tabloid BILD today writes that Arthur Abraham's defense against Mahir Oral will be his last at 160 lbs. The abrahammer moves up to supermiddleweight after this.

Abraham has accordingly trained as hard as ever before. Trainer Ulli Wegner:

"Who want's to move up a division following a defeat? That's why we at the camp at the Baltic has trained as hard as ever before."

AA has had welldocumented weight problems in the past and has had to shed some 17 lbs shortly before a fight. Such a draining means loss of power.

Kalle Sauerland (Abraham's promotor) says: "Supermiddleweight is the best division in boxing today."

Looks like Pavlik (Arum) has waited to long

Wow. Abraham hold a title for damn nea 4 years without fighting a single challenging opponent. You gotta give it to Sauerland for making it seem as if it is everyone but their fault that Abraham does not take part in competitive fights.

The only reason he is moving up is because he has officially beaten every single half assed middleweight in the world and there are no more easy fights left.

Out of the 9 defenses Abraham has made the only guys who were arguably amongst the top 10 in the world were Miranda and Ghevor and it is questionable whether they were even top-10. If they were they were #9 or #10.
