In all honesty reed you need to be close to throw a left hook, body shot, and uppercut, and Wlad fights, and Wlad fights at long range, wher the only effective punches are the jab and the right hand. Since this is the cae coupled with the fact that he does not close the gap and come in the inside to finish his opponents their will be no noticeable hooks, uppercuts, or body shots.

At the same time, I know you will have nothing but good to say about Pascal's performance last night.

If I was to be critical of Pascal after Friday's fight, which was in some ways similar to Wlad-Chagaev, people would get angry and call me a racist.

There should be ONE standard we judge everybody by, regardless of race.
I started this thread as a former fan. Probably bigger than you Tunney. But I at least can be objective and criticize him whereas you laud him no matter what he does. Big difference.

And btw, putting me on ignore for disagreeing with you is such a ***** move its not even funny.

I am one of Wlad's biggest critics. I don't particularly like his style and think he's boring to watch - most of the time. With his (obvious) size and skill and natural athleticism, he should be laying heavyweights out and being more aggressive than he is. Wlad's offensive arsenal is truly impressive; he's naturally athletic and CAN be fun to watch when he lets his fists fly. I personally think he was a lot more exciting to watch before he got with Steward; you knew he was going to knock his opponent out, or get knocked out himself (as Jim Lampley would say, "That is what heavyweights are supposed to do"). He took a lot more chances. He held less too.

No one can deny he dominated and put on a masterful performance against Ruslan; doing so would be dishonest as a boxing fan. He dominated every second of every round. My gripe - and it has always been my gripe - is that he is too boring for MY liking. It has nothing to do with hate, or denying his skills. His style just does not appeal to me.

But to call Wladimir "sub par" and "mediocre" is being dishonest. There may be jealousy there, or a personal dislike (I dislike Mayweather, but I would never deny his skill inside the ring). If you are honest with yourself and know boxing, you'd know Wlad is gifted, as he has proven time after time. You simply cannot ignore his talent. Subpar/mediocre he is not.

You can call Wlad boring though.
It's always nice to have some objectivity.

What do you expect for every fighter to fold after 4 or 5 rounds? Wlad hit him with some of the best right hands you could ask from a heavyweight and the man wouldnt go down. Instead of hating on Wladimir who by the way has 47 knockouts in 53 wins try giving the opponents credit. I give credit to Chagaev for hanging in there and trying his best; he was simply outclassed.

I have been consistently supporting Cotto, by wanting Pac to fight him at 147lbs.

                  Cotto is PR, not black.

Pascal had a great performance... but LOL @ people who want to compare him to Roy.

I think Pac is one of the only fighters based on SPEED, southpaw stance, stamina, movement, and power.. to beat Floyd.

Should they ever fight.. I would bet on Floyd... I would be cheering for PAC 100%.... I want Pac to beat Floyd. Sticky note that ****.

This entire thread I have been consistent in what I have said. Wlad did what he needed to do... and he fights EVERYONE in ihs division. I was talking about constructive things, things he could possibly add to his arsenal to make him even better than what he is now. I did not, like alot of people in here... **** on him.

And my 2 favorite UFC fighters are Chuck and Mirco Cro Crop.

I was severely let down when Rampage KOed Chuck in the rematch.

Contrary to what you may think... race has absolutely **** to do with how my mind works, and what I like.
