You are arguing a point that you dont agree with and ultimately you dont find our views smart yourself...so that would be a little pot calling the kettle black wouldnt you say

All that matters to the organizations is that they make the weight whether that means coming in at 140.1 pounds or coming in at 147.0, anything else that the two fighters agree to is their own business.

No not at all. I could give yo a number of other huge fights much bigger than this one that were contested at catchweights, and in all honesty no one complained about them.
I guess we have to agree to disagree. I have never been a fan of catch weights. Both Cotto/Pacqiao have worthy opponents that they can face in their own weight class without *****g someone at a phsyical disadvantage. I just prefer competitive fights rather than one sided beat downs of weight drained fighters.

You said that Pac would rehydrate from 143lbs to only 145lbs. I dont think anyone can blame me for not finding your views smart. Too deep for me...you could drown in a half full bucket.

I think Freddy Roach is just playing it to safe or doesnt think Pacman can fight a true welter weight. I disagree, after seeing how he destroyed Hatton and dominated DLH I dont see why he doesnt just move up to 147. As far as Cotto vs Pacman, I just dont think Cotto's right hand is strong enough to hurt Pacman and Cotto gets hit with alot. But Pacman cant beat Mosely or PBF because they have great right hands and will give Pacman all he can chew

I guess we should do so then. Btw I will be giving the winner of this fight credit no matter what happens as long as they sign the contract, which shows that they agree to the terms and are more than willing to follow them.

Pac beating Cotto at 147 is a task uphill. Pac as a smaller man will give all his advantages at 147 and will carry the extra useless 7 lbs baggage that will only slow him down on his lone advantage "speed".

you may be right especially if Cotto cant work his jab but somehow I think if Cotto is landing his right its a bad thing for pac.

IT is freacking funny how people loose perspective making comments about Cotto winning a closed fight with Mosley, getting beated by Margo and winning a closed fight against clottey. Peeps these 3 gents are the best of the best at WW division, at this league ANYONE can win, all have skills and flaws they are all freaking even that is why these fights has been so closed, this is what cherry picking IS NOT ABOUT, the creame of the creame fighting each other. Now all the sudden Manny, that is not even a natural welter weight, will KO Cotto. Manny is A GREAT fighter, Great Skills but by manny winning against Hatton/DH didn't meant ****, Now he will be getting with the real deal a Cotto/Mosley/Clottey. Cotto within the fans has always been the underdog, against Judah, Mosley, maybe Margo and Clottey, nobody could see cotto winning any of those fights, but we liked it or not he did with the ecception of Margo. Now Manny vs Cotto, I like both fighters and they both deserved a well respect, this fight is a "no man's land" that **** about manny KOing Cotto or the other way around is good for people without sense, it will be another GREAT ****ING fight, I am not saying that a KO can not come but from who??? will be the great dilema. These is what boxing is about the menu is on the table, and whoever win here should fight maybe Mosley, Margo and MW if he grows ball, whoever kept winning should clean the table and become the Bad ass MF in the Division... Mosley Moved ****ing on, your good, fight Berto/Clottey

He had good speed and his shots were hard. He put the pressure you are supposed too to get you guy out of there when he his wounded. Thats what he did and he finished him. At 147 this would be a good fight. Take a few lbs off and put a few lbs on either way,,,It will be a good fight....Mannys non stop pressure and speed will beat Cotto. 140-147
He wont have the fight at 147 because he wont beat Cotto.

At least Freddie knows his ****, He knows Cotto will beat Pacquiaoat 147.

freddies worried about his fighter cause he knows what he can and cant do and defeating cotto at the welterweight limit is impossible
