[QUOTE=Kalion;5538878]Which would you say do larger PPV buys?

    PAQ vs Cotto
    PBF vs Cotto
    PBF vs Paq

People have be asking for PBF vs Cotto for years and PAQ vs PBF is clamoured to be the biggest money fight in years.

People have just recently started flirted with the idea of Cotto vs PAQ. What im saying is PBF has been building his hype for years while PAQ has just recently aqquired his and cotto has been staedy but nothing outstanding. Thats why PBF is the biggest draw in boxing.[/QUOTE

The idea of Pac vs Cotto only came recently because no one in their right mind wouldve ever considered the idea 2 years ago ROFL! Whereas everyone was expecting PBF to but instead he retired. I dont understand how PBF still has loyal fans when hes becoming into DLH clone. A business man which is what all true boxing fans hate. We want to see the exciting fights. The fights that no one ever saw coming.

Your logic as to why PBF is boxings biggest draw even after his 2 year BULLS*T retirement is flawed and dumb. Stop dwelling on the past and focus on the present. Pac is undoubtedly boxings biggest draw because he's coming off 3 humongous dominant wins. You can dispute this by arguing his opposition but even then Pac won all fights in unimaginable fashion. Even the fights he was favored to win from the getgo he won in unthinkable ways. Call me a pac nuthugger I really dont care. But you can't deny anything I've said.

Because more than half of Las Vegas revenue from ******** comes from Asian gamboholics and that isn't no joke. All kidding aside your point holds some ground but if 99% of the boxings expert panel agreed on this general consensus, that is was a mismatch and it was just a stunt for DLH so he could make one last big profit from fighting before retiring then their opinons have to hold merit. BTW, it was 2to1 towards the last day of betting. It was closer to 4 a week before that. Also ppl get emotionally attached especially when its a fighter like Pac.

PBF was a bigger draw than Pacquaio, but I don't think that's the case now. Floyds PPV was a great success vs DLH because DLH was thought of as still a pretty good fighter. Tack on Floyds trash talking, undefeated record, and being American you have a match made in heaven. Floyd can still do all that yes but if you have Floyd against an average opponent now and Manny vs the same opponent now, I think Manny outdraws him. The general public have seen both fight and atleast from a small sampling of my friends(casual fans that only watch big fights) I would say people are more willing to shell out money to see Pac fight. Most casual fans talk more about Pac than PBF imo and that is a true measurement of popularity.

agreed. over May's last couple fights. his public draw has grown substantially. it doesnt matter if its fans tuning in to see him win or haters tuning in to see him lose.

either way, people are tuning in to see Floyd for one of the two outcomes. but they are still tuning in to see him

PBF and DLH are both American born. They've been in the limelight of US boxing much longer than Pac has. The chances of a foreign champion to get the same attention as someone who was born and bred in US is highly unlikely. You just gotta admit...Even with all the success Pac has gotten he still has not cross over as far as mainstream media goes in the United States. FFS Mayweather did Dancing w/ the stars and WWE for crying out loud. He's been on all the late night shows. Has Pac actually been broadcasted on any live American TV? No. All these factors come into play as to why I think Pac didnt sell as much when he fought DLH.

One thing is for sure though. No one will dispute that whose the more exciting fighter to watch. Even Cus D'Amato said " It's all about putting asses in those seats". No one can blame PBF for his fighting style thats just how he fights.
what the **** does them being american have anyting to do with anything?

it doesnt. how many american boxers go their whole careers and never get big. tons. more than those who end up getting big.

so come one with the dumb american boxer BS

I think him going to the UK added a whole knew aspect of his ability to draw that nobody is factoring in. If he gets half of the people that used to watch Hatton to watch him and he can still build a fight here the way he used to then its hard to deny that he is a draw. Pac is a draw as well. People who claim Pac is a bigger draw at this point do not have any evidence to support that claim. If Floyd fights and doesn't do any numbers then you can make that claim. For now though they are defiantly the top two draws in boxing but we may not be sure who is number 1.
