Good win for Wlad, but I really did not see what Chagaev's plan was for winning. It was a complete domination though, and Wlad deserves creidt for that, wish he would have tried to put Chagaev to sleep but he was killing him anyways. I am not upset with his preformance in the least.

David Haye would most likely would get killed by Wlad, I just do not think that he could really get inside without getting taken out. To beat Wlad you have to drag him into the mud and make it a war, if you let him stand outside and drop bombs he is virtually impossible to beat (I do realize that is easier said than done however).

I love the sweet science. I can watch Winky Wright even when he doesn't have a prayer in the world to knock a guy out. I'm awed by defenses like Pernell Whitaker's. Part of science includes dangerous, volatile compounds. A part of the wonder of the scientific world is the power understanding the discipline gives us over the world around us. Wladimir is just overly cautious and there's no way around it. I'm fine with him working off that stiff jab and throwing an occasional right behind it; for the first three or four rounds. If nearing the middle of the fight, though, your opponent is getting hit at will- eating it- and you don't even attempt to test his chin and see if he's ready to go; that's not sweet to me. It's like having the scientific formula to turn lead into gold and going, 'eh, science is about the technacalites of it all, not what I can do with it'. Apply the science, man. Damn. Wladimir Klitschko is the best heavyweight in the world who just wants to win every round and every fight- fine. To be objective, though, he has no killer instinct. None. He possess the ability to devestatingly knock out half the guys he's thrown in with and decides not to. It's a choice. To be careful, cautious, and methodical. Fine.

If you're alright with that- cool. Me? I don't mind if a guy can't knock his opponent out, but when it's painfully, disgustingly, achingly clear that the man across from you is ready to go, and you choose not to put him away....that's not something I appreciate. I feel as if he's giving 80% when he steps in there- he looks good, wins every round, dominates; and just doesn't give a frack if he hurts or stops his opponent. Having the gun, the bullet in the chamber, and refusing to pull the trigger- that frustrates me.

I understand what you're saying and you make some points. I disagree a bit though.

Wlad DID hit chagaev several times with very hard full-blooded rights. What he saw was that Chag could take it without flinching. Chagaev showed a super -chin tonight.

Of course I have to sleep on this fight but right now I think this is Wlads peakperformance and I am so impressed that one can say that about a man who is what 34?
