YES! He was dazed from some of the first shots Pacquiao threw. How do I know this? Because Oscar SAID SO in some article I was reading a little while after the fight. If I can find it again I'll post it.

He diffused Mosley and he will diffuse Pacquiao as well

I hate to say this cause pacquiao is a tremendous fighter but you are overrating pacquiaos

      Pwer and speed.

He deserved all the credit for his footwork but his hand speed at 147 isnt that fast. You notice the difference in De La hoya Hatton. hatton he could deliver a huge left with crazy speed but at 147 it isnt as devestating

Good luck on breaking his rhythm up. Dude is syncopated as hell.

if you fight on your toes you have a rhythm you cant just fight on your toes and not fight with a rhythm and pac is repetitive as hell. his rhythm was broking by jmm twic and morales once so its not impossible and these were slow fighters

one thing i forgot to mention. cotto has been facing slow lumbering opponents and has gotten tired. so how the hell is he going too keep up with the pace of pacquiao? darting in and out landing combos, cotto will be retreating by round 6.

Just look at the knockdown again, though. Clottey was moving his legs and was off balance before the shot even connected. If that jab was so hardcore, how come Clottey took huge bombs from Cotto throughout the fight and didn't even flinch?

The knockdown was due to Clottey's balance, not Cotto's power. It's really obvious.
I have a feeling it was because Clottey was Cold since they didnt even get into the rhythym of the fight coming in first round. Everytime I watch it I see Clottey get hit and his body move back starting from his chin from the power

It doesn't have to be devastating, it only needs to hit hard enough to gain the respect of the opponent.

enough power to ko hatton with one punch, and to stop oscar for the 2nd time in his career.

pacuaio has faster footwork and handspeed than mosley at this point of his career, prime mosley beats cotto and you know that.

cotto has never faced the intensity of a pacquiao.

                      One more thing:

Pacquiao and Roach's game plan was not to throw power punches at De La Hoya because it would have been too dangerous to stand there and trade the hardest blows that could be thrown, the plan was to use mobility, speed, and bunches of smaller shots. In other words, Pacquiao was not even trying to KO Oscar.

He used a similar strategy on Diaz because he was moving up into another division. They took the best route by throwing fast punches and keeping on the move because it eventually broke Diaz down so he was ready to be knocked out later.

If you spar or fight yourself, you'll know you cannot get full leverage on your punches if you're using that much movement. You shouldn't go up in weight and try to trade power punches with bigger guys, it's absolute suicide. Your key to winning is to be faster and smarter than them, break them down with smaller shots that catch them by surprise and weaken them enough to knock 'em out.
