is weighing in at 144 vs 147 really that much of a difference when they rehydrate back up to what they want to? so what's the big deal if cotto comes down 3 if he is such a strong guy

He was willingly to fight Oscar at 147 yet he does not want that against Cotto.

For example PBF/Oscar. Floyd weighed in 150 while Oscar was 154. 4 pounds difference in weigh in means nothing. Why doesn’t Pacman weigh in at 143 as he wants and allows Cotto to weigh in at 147?

Pacman weigh in 142 against Oscar weigh in 146

How many times has Pacman fought at a catchweight? Let me see if you can answer this one...

It depends on the fighter. Some guys cut a lot of weight, so losing an extra 3 lbs would be too much. They're already eating very little food and drinking little fluids leading up to the weigh-in, and then after they make weight, they drink and eat and have a doctor waiting with an IV.

Other fighters don't do these sort of things to make weight.

Floyd was 149 vs Oscar's 154. 5 pound difference. Took his power away that's why Oscar wasn't knocked the **** out. Pacquiao is the #1 fighter in the world. He can do whatever he wants. To answer that, at 147 Cotto has too much of an advantage. That's why boxing has weight classes or in this case a contract weight, to equalize things like different bodies and natural strengths. Otherwise everyone would be a ****ing heavyweight, everyone who could grow that large that is. Pacquiao can't grow into a full fledge welter in this short time (and i don't think he should). It's funny the Ricans saying Pacquiao should allow Cotto to come as a welterweight are the same saying Floyd is a ***** for fighting Marquez at 147 hahahahahahaha

Pacman doesn`t insist on fighting at catchweight. Only Roach and Bob Arum and Pac`s advisers.
