You must have missed post # 17, here it is again:

"One thing that most of Cotto's fans have overlooked so far when it comes to Cotto's jab, which is great btw, is that Pacman is a Southpaw, which means they will be mirroring each other since both lead hands are on the same side. It will be more like fencing or escrima, were both jabs will nullify each other, or should I say, Cotto's jabs will be nullified more than Pacquiao, since Pacman throws his jabs faster, he will have more success.

The key to a Cotto win is his right hand, which he should use more often against Pacquiao if he wants to keep Pacman at bay. Marquez showed how to neutralize Pacman by taking the initiative and using his overhand right more often as his had Pacman stopped on his tracks at lot of times..."

I was showing you that so did two of the last three Cotto fought...I still don't understand the point you were making.
What i was trying to say is the Cotto will not stand in front of pacquiao and let him get his kamakaze combinations he got off against his previous opponents.

        Gotcha.

You do realize that Cotto presses the action in 96% of his fights right? Mark my words, HE WILL PUT HIMSELF IN HARMS WAY!!!...

I understand what youre saying, but Cotto will still throw it, the intent is not to hurt pacquiao with it its to measure him with it.

they both will put themselves in harms way, this is gonna be the first time Pacquiao gets hit contantly by a true welterweight. I just cant see Pacquiao hurting cotto before cotto hurts him. Anyways, wish i can bet money on it somehow with people on this forum

I sadly agree, when Cotto sees how awkward Mannys movements are in the ring he will be afraid to throw the jab and afraid to get countered. Fighters abandon the jab because its something their opponent is doing that frustrates them. Fighters don't just abandon their jabs, their forced to!

Nothing to take away from Pacquiao but I think Cotto lost something in that Margarito fight, it could have been physical or mental. I'm going to go with mental even if Margarito did cheat and used plaster. Cotto is still good though!
