yo ****** i dont agree.. that's why they have a weight limit so why say cotto would be too big for pacman. i say pacman would be too fast, strong and too smart for cotto. if they would fight at d limit of 144, it would be a problem for cotto not for pacman. u cant under estimate the pound per pound king. he may have lost before but its been 10 years since someone had stopped him. he's a lot more different. he has learned a lot. he is now a perfection. skills, intelligence,..he's d real deal ryt now.agree?
now the catchweight that's another matterComment

Cotto is world class, at welterweight, not super featherweight, not lightweight not jr. welter, and not deflated jr. middleweight(DLH). I know he's very exciting to watch, he's and action fighter, but think with your knowledge of the sport, in other words your minds not your hearts.
Cotto ain't the slow churning slob people paint him to be, evidence against Shane Mosley. Any trainer will tell you that timing disrupts speed, and technically sound Cotto has a great jab and a great jab disrupts everything. He's not going to try and wrestle like Hatton did and jump in unprotected, and he's not going to be stuck in quicksand like DLH and David Diaz. Oh, and somebody please tell me why, no one ever refers to his last fight with JMM and the "L" that should be on his record as a result. People always accentuate his most recent victories and "easy fights".
JMM is Manny's match, and we're gonna see him get nearly killed by Money May when ever they get that situation straightened out. Mayweather would have to dig deeper than he ever had in his life to beat Cotto, but make no mistake he can beat Cotto. That would be trilogy worthy with Mayweather taking 2 of3. If DLH came in the same form he did against Money May, we wouldn't be talking about Manny in the same way we are today.
I love the fact that he brings so much attention to the sport that I love, and he's very good for the lifeline of boxing. That being said, if you pay attention to the sport and not to one fighter, you can see all the situation the lead us to this point. He's taken advantage of the situations presented to him.
Bottom line is that you have to look at the entire wold of boxing from all perspective from trainers to past opponents and their opponents. Look at all of the facts do research if you're not well versed and then come back and tell what you really think about this prospective match-up. Jose Luis Castillo vs Diego Corrales II, is probably the best example of how Manny vs any world class welter will end.Comment

This guy above me has brains. He see's things the way I do. You cannot judge a fight based on how much you like a fighter. You have to know the game. Cotto is a beast. no doubt. he is gonna give manny one hell of a fight. he isnt gonna walk in with his hands down and try and take manys head off. he is gonna play chess with manny for a little bit. I see manny and him going at it after the 3rd round it will be straight war. What you kids dont seem to understand is Cotto has a chin. A REALLY good chin. and cotto has alot of power and he certainly isnt slow. He is a world class fighter. Now, for the opposition. Pacman. where to start. fast, powerful, explosive. Not a whole lot of defense. but his offense makes up for it. manny can punch, I mean that boy can really punch. he will swarm cotto with a barrage of punches no doubt. if cotto survives this then pacman better watch out.
I dont like to judge the fights before hand. I just like to watch and see. Hopefully they get a 24/7 =]

Ok Medgoen Singsurat was the last fighter to stop Pacman at flyweight 112lbs. Now fast forward 10 years and 30lbs, he's leaps and bounds above the fighter he once was. I want everyone to see that every time I post, I give credit to this very talented fighter and try my best not to be disrespectful.

Even our dialouge about the fight is good for the sport of boxing. If we the fans somehow found a way to pin promoters and boxers into a corner to give us the matchups the we desire, there would never be anothe mention of MMA. Anytime a figther proclaimed to be the best the man who feels he's the best will be ready and waiting to whoop his ass to prove him wrong, and the promoters and managers will move like lightning to make it happen. Yeah, that the way it shoudl be...a man can dream.Comment
