i hope they're not trying to do the same for cotto.....if it's true, then that would explain the "fight-night" weigh-in, and cotto loses if that's the case.
Yep, i've had a feeling about this for a while now that it may have been stated in the contract that Oscar couldn't come in above 147. Why else would he come in at such a low weight which he hasn't made in ages? If this same bull**** gets done with Cotto then Pacman will have a big upper hand yet again.

Cotto re-hydrates to about 160lbs....you think Pacman is gonna fight a 157lbs fighter? i highly doubt it. This fight wont be a fair fight either way....but it'll be interesting to watch thats for sure.

If they didn't let Oscar rehydrate they sure as hell won't let Cotto.

Cotto coming in at 144 or 145 will not affect him like it did DLH.

First off because height puts a lot of weight on you. DLH is 5'10" and it's very hard for him to get down to that weight anymore. Not to mention that DLH is much older than Cotto and the older you get the harder it is for you to keep your weight down.

Cotto can make 145 easily, he's not as tall he's just a thicker more muscular built guy than Pac.

144-145 would be fine IMO and we should see both fighters at their best at that weight.

I think this will be a BIG disadvantage for Cotto to have to cut more weight. I won't give Pac credit if he beats Cotto because Cotto isnt at his comfortable weight. If Pac fights Cotto at 147 and beats him he will get all the credit in the world. I just don't think Cotto can safely cut that weight without it affecting him in a NEGATIVE way in the fight.

I dunno- I still think that people will be surprised when Manny attacks Cotto and he breaks in the long run. Manny wins most of his fights by being aggressive and wearing down the opponents like the second morales fight, for example.

I think Cotto could hurt and KO Pac if he hits him FLUSH but Pacman is a good boxer and I don't see him giving Cotto too many chances to hit him. I think no matter the weight, Cotto gives Manny problems in the early rounds but Manny will break him in rds 9-12 or win a UD by like 3 rds, he has too much energy for Cotto.

lot of people talk **** about Arum but we should thank him big time for the potential entertainment value and significance of the fight.

If Pac destroys Cotto Floyd instantaneously ****s himself. If Pac gets beat up or KO'd does he still get the Mayweather fight ?
