This guy that Lopez is getting ready to fight is not very good. Why not the Japanese guy that knocked out Johnny Gonzalez? I'm a big believer in Juan Ma Lopez, but Arum needs to step up his comp. That is a mistake he made with Cotto in the early portion of his career. Cotto got into this cycle of beating decent, but not spectacular fighters. What I mean is Arum would keep his competition at the very same level for a long period of time and Cotto didn't become as good as he really could have been. And even though Cotto eventually got better where skill is concerned, you wonder if he could have been better overall if Arum didn't match him up with some of the cans that he did.Comment
