Juanma Expects a Tough Fight From Lontchi on 6/27

WBO super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (25-0, 23KOs) is expecting a tough fight from challenger Olivier Lontchi (18-0-2, 8KOs). They meet on June 27 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City as the headline bout of the Latin Fury 9 pay-per-view from Top Rank. Many view the fight as a blowout for Lopez. The champion doesn't agree. [details]

Just take your time juanma, cut off the ring and use your jab when you get close. when he comes in leading with his head counter with a uppercut and move to the side.

F this. Fight someone with a heart eat juanma. Such a young talented boxer. Fighting easy opponents trying to secure a fight with vazquez. Thinking ur walking on clouds trying to jump the ladder instead of climbing it. F this fight. U should have cleaned ur division

          Juanma is my boy.

That's my prob. He's too good for these no name fighters. Wonder what will happen when he goes against someone who won't only take his best shots but give some back. He should at least fight for the rest of the belts, the the ring belt and continue then. Screw these **** fights

This guy that Lopez is getting ready to fight is not very good. Why not the Japanese guy that knocked out Johnny Gonzalez? I'm a big believer in Juan Ma Lopez, but Arum needs to step up his comp. That is a mistake he made with Cotto in the early portion of his career. Cotto got into this cycle of beating decent, but not spectacular fighters. What I mean is Arum would keep his competition at the very same level for a long period of time and Cotto didn't become as good as he really could have been. And even though Cotto eventually got better where skill is concerned, you wonder if he could have been better overall if Arum didn't match him up with some of the cans that he did.

true, and Izzy and Rafa going to stay at Feather right?

besides the other belt holders, not too too many options for Juanma at 122.
