Darchinyan Says His Power Will Overwhelm Agbeko

I can't really say I dislike Vic Darchinyan because inside the ring, he gives you everything you're looking for as far as excitement and effort goes. But as a boxer he is terribly flawed. On top of his big mouth, a lot of the reason why I'm not really a fan of Vic is because of how he just got a shot at the big time without going to the back of the line. Credit to him for capitalizing on it, but Donaire should be the one getting all of these fights, and he would destroy all of these guys just as impressively as Vic did. Even though I a lot of times make fun of Darchinyan for his knockout loss to Donaire, that's not the real reason I criticize him. I realize that Shaw has all the say in his career moves. The reason I talk down on him is the fact that Donaire got hung out to dry by Gary Shaw big time. Not that Arum is doing a much better job with Nonito however.

As I've wrote before, Darchinyan is a mediocre fighter and I considered him a class C fighter. He needs to improve his techincal skills as well as his ways in handling himself outside the boxing ring.

It's also interesting to me to wonder who the decision will go to regardless if it's a close fight. Obviously Vic is going for Agbeko's title, but he is the Showtime house fighter and Gary Shaw's cash machine. King Kong may need to put the hammer down on Darchi to get the win.

i share your observations and feeling, on all counts bout vic and nonito.!
i wish that donaire will be given good exposures, his talents and skills are under-appreciated.
in spite of these,...ring recognized him as 8th p4p best where vic is 9th.
it's time for him to move up and forget his ibf mandatory rematch with mthalane.

as for the darchi-agbeko fyt, i lean towards the ghanaian being naturally bigger.
vic could be biting too much too soon.....
