They think no-one cares about it, and they aren't far off, sadly this is a fight that only real fans are interested in, 80% of HBO subscribers probably prefer to see a couple of fat american slugs slugging it out

I've read they lost money televising Dawson-Tarver II, but did better on Cotto-Clottey.

Surely Wladimir-Chagaev is more worthwhile than Dawson-Tarver II, which was fought in front of mostly empty seats in a much smaller venue.

Everybody I know is watching Wladimir on Saturday here in Vancouver on TSN2, but no one had any interest at all in Dawson-Tarver.

Maybe Ross Greenburg doesn't want to show fights involving two East European boxers? Chagaev is unknown in the US, but so is Haye.

Maybe they thought Haye would have been an impressive early KO win for Wlad on HBO, but Chagaev will likely be a difficult, more tactical fight.

Also I forgot, who's on the undercard? probably unknown europeans, they should of stuck a couple of yank prospects in there, that would of helped

Chagaev is not the same fighter he was before his injury. I would really take Arreola and Haye over him at this point. I'd be very surprised if Wlad doesn't win easily.

HBO Sat Night does not televise undercards usually.

The question is...why would HBO want to spend millions of dollars and receive poor ratings in return? You have 2 boring fighters, HBO is an american broadcasting company and you have 2 european fighters, one is not that known, the other is not known, the fight is in germany, and the fight would be shown live during the afternoon.
