They probably assessed likley demand and determined that it wasn't a profitable operation.

To give you just a real straight answer, "no one wants to see that ****".... The only heavyweight fights I want to see have to involve two of the following: Wlad, Vitali, Chis Arreola, David Haye... If two of those four are not fighting each other then the majority doesnt give a flying **** about see the fight

I am not sure about this argument, since they televised Klitshcko-Rahman which was 100 times less interesting/profitable....

I'm from Australia so I'm not overly familiar with how it all works over there, but might it have something to do with the Broadcasting fee?

Because they were expecting Wlad-Haye and if that fight was never on the table they wouldn't have set the bar so high in expectation. They wanted Wlad to wait for his injury to heal. If Wlad-Chagaev was announced originally and Haye was fighting someone else, they would have grabbed this fight.

Who cares? They saved the license fee and can now afford two more good BAD cards or something...or another fight like Cotto-Clottey. The fight is on TV here in the U.S. regardless...everyone wins.

I understand your point, but Chagaev is honestly provably better than Arreola and Haye, at least at this point. I like Haye's boxing (though not his talking) and really liked Arreola's recent fights. Chagaev's fights, that I have seen, were equally as entertaining; moreover, Chagaev is the true WBA HW champion (not the ridiculous Valuev), who has an extremely good record at HW.
