Um sorry to inform you newbie...But Cotto and his team turned down Mayweather after Floyd beat the **** out of Gatti while Cotto sat ringside ****ting himself.

There were never any real intentions of either of those guys fighting back then. Floyd called Cotto out, as well as Shane Mosley, Oscar De la Hoya, Winky Wright, etc. He was selling himself, thats all.

Everyone in Boxing knew that fight made no sense at the moment...but when the time came where it was a marquee match up...Cotto wasn't a "Draw". Go figure I guess...
