if Cotto were to beat Pacman, then, yes, he would be number one.

I say this as a huge Cotto fan, huge fan, been following him for years:he has almost no chance of beating Pacquiao.

as far as individual matchups go, Cotto has a better chance of beating Floyd than Pacman.

I think Pac would be tougher at first because hes fast...southpaw and has sick power....but once Floyd starts landing...Pac is done IMO...it will turn to target practice.

Cotto by the time he gest to Floyd....would have fought:

Torres
Corley
Judah
Quitana
Mosley
Margarito
Judah
Clottey

and Pacman.

He wont have anything left for Floyd...Floyds wins every round or stops Cotto late.

Cotto has had 6 fights since Floyd retired...ALL WARS.

Um sorry to inform you newbie...But Cotto and his team turned down Mayweather after Floyd beat the **** out of Gatti while Cotto sat ringside ****ting himself.

yea. he got heart, and i was impressed with the way he continued on, i just knew the fight would be stopped, but cotto got big time props for that performance.

i just felt clottey won 7-5. i would've been fine 114-113 either way, but i didn't see cotto winning 115-112 or 116-111....it wasn't a "robbery" but i felt the scorecards were questionable, especially considering how long they took...

clottey didn't do himself any favors, and he would've had a stronger case had he decided to fight the last 2 rounds, but i thought clottey won 114-113. i keep saying cotto's a warrior though.
