With all the fighters in heavier divisions than Pacquiao....and seeming that Pac would never fight them at 147....the name of the new weight class should be the "Mannyweight Division".......which according to all the rumors flying around about "catchweight fights"...should be between 142lbs and 145lbs.

lol sorry but Gatti already tried this, I think it was thanks to Gatti that a new weight class was created, so who knows, maybe there should be a Manny Weight Class. I don't really care because he looks great at what ever weight class he has been fighting at in these last few years.

I wouldn't go that far....I mean c'mon...the guy had 1 fight at 147 against a weight drained punching bag....and Roach new DLH would kill himself to make weight....only reason he agreed at 147.
He is just now in his so called "natural weight class"....
It goes back to...it isn't Pac's fault that he is in a class in his own at 140lbs....but when the bigger Welterweights are calling out Pac...there has to be some middle ground by both fighters.
Pac's "strength" is his speed...speed kills....and other Welterweights "strength" would be "power". At 147...and going up against fighters who would normally rehydrate back to 155+lbs....the excuses from would be flowing to no end as to why Manny got KOd...

im no fan of catchweights either. but if the fight is made at 147, cotto would be like 15 lbs heavier. major advantage. kinda unfair to little packy don't you think?

with regards to the oscar fight, oscar set the weight. pac's camp just put somewhere in the contract about dlh paying a fee if he goes over the limit. and people were cying about how "oscar's gonna take pac's head off at this weight".

i think a lot of people are adding too much on this weight drained thing. i mean yeah, it affects the fighter negatively but it aint the only ****ing thing that determines the outcome of a fight. i think more than anything, its just an excuse. like a ****ty camp or some distractions...
