No, that is bullcrap. A.) I'm not filipino so take any of that talk out. B.) I never said I don't wanna see him lose, he has a very good chance losing to either Floyd or Marquez in a 3rd, and those are probably his most meaningful options at THIS POINT in this career. Take on Campbell? Cotto? What do they do to his legacy? Fighting Floyd will be the official fighter of this era. Fighting Marquez lays to rest who really was the better of the two and being that Marquez is the only one that's given Manny a true match, he deserves that 3rd. These are also great matchups that the "general public" know. They've seen the 2nd Manny-Marquez bout or the 24/7 behind it, and of course they hear Floyd's bullcrap on espn. These makes the most sense.
Do people forget?

Agree with this.If you ask me, I want him to go after the Welterweights @ 147 lbs. Nothing less. Pac's status is already sealed in the HOF as one of the best ever just because of his ability to win at all the different divisions he fought at. If he is actually good enough to beat a couple of these top welterweights in their own division, the next generation of boxing fans will still be talking about him long after we are all gone.

delahoya was arguablly better than margarito and cotto at the time him and floyd fought, margarito was a nobody like the fighters at 140 and cotto was making a name for himself, at the time he did not beat anyone really worth mentioning until he beat zab where as hatton had beat an atg in tzsyu a couple years prior to that and as far as shane goes he was fighting at 154 and when asked about floyd he said he had a tooth ache
I understand where you are coming from. But you can't deny the fact that a lot of people don't agree with what you just said. Mayweather was perceived to have taken the easy way out. Agree with that or not, that's a fact. Now tell me how many people actually think that the best junior welters right now are better than Cotto, Shane or Mayweather who are considered to be Manny's next possible opponents? I am betting you not as much ( if any?) as those who thought May ducked the toughest opponents. That's why I said you can't really compare the scenarios because they are different.Comment

I'm not telling Pacquiao to fight Welterweights. But fight them at 147 if he does it. There are plenty of opponents to choose from at 140. He can fight the Bradley-Campell winner or the winner of Ortiz-Maidana. Cleaning out weight divisions is what a throw back fighter does. That Pacquiao was still in the S. featherweight division last year? That's 130lbs and generally weighing in a pound under. And now people are demanding he faces the true welterweights at 147lbs? Why? Just because he beat up Oscar? Do you guys believe Manny really did it to enter the welterweight division? How about to get his name out there facing the most popular fighter at the time? Pacquiao is a fighter who can weigh in at all these different weights generally because his speed is what makes the difference but his actual body frame is not welterweight. If Pac met Floyd at 143 or Marquez at 140lbs, that's it, call it a career. Why have to face Mosley or Cotto all a sudden when they are really meaningless to his career at this point?Comment

Cmon Mangler, what is he going to lose? I believe it's a win-win situation for him (figuratively speaking, that is). When I was back in Manila this past January, I heard rumors about him fighting only until the age of 32 years which is pretty damn near and then he is seriously going into politics. If that is the case, I want to see him go out with a ****. Win or lose. I think he would rather remember his last fight ever was with a Cotto, Shane or Mayweather rather than a Campbell (no diss intended).
