The improvement of Manny's right hook gives me flashes of the Corley fight, and I don't like it. Judah also hit Cotto most of the time he threw his straight left. I just don't like this matchup for Miguel, and I said this before the Clottey fight. He does know how to land his left hook against southpaw's though, where as Oscar and Hatton could not.

Clottey's shell gave Cotto a lot of trouble. It was like he was hesitant cause he didn't know how to break through it. I think a lot of Cotto not looking too great was Clottey.

hopefully im wrong and cotto just had an off night

Clottey needs some credit for his performance for the the first 9 rounds. I don't think Cotto had an off night but I think he's reached his peak and Manny will eat him alive if he doesn't make some serious changes.

Leave Lefty alone, man. He just opened his eyes.

Lotta good points made in this trhread, some i agree with, some i don't...but i respect a diff opinion, or at least try to. I said in another post I feel hesitant about this fight with Manny, Cotto is a thinking beast and manny is a dam good fight happy monster. Cotto needs a good rest, some quality time with his family, and i think there are some relationships that still need healing in his immediate family. I think that is one reason Cotto hasn't been the same.

I give him much credit for putting cheato's ghost behind him and moving on, but he also has been fighting without a steady foundation for a trainer. That's really important. I mean, that IS a foundation of confidence. To me, in his corner looked like a few kids...wtf? He also needs to take a good long look at his weaknesses and improve upon them. Still, Manny is a rabid animal in the ring that must be ******-ing in his head while fighting. He just loves to fight period.

He needs a good rest, too, he's accomplished and proved quite a bit, give the guy some breathing room. let him spend some quility time with his immediate family. I think some ammends need to be made in the family also that have been in the back of his mind. I can see how this could be a slight distraction. He need to be reminded of what he's fighting for. Fo family, for honour, for country. and last, but not least, his loyal fans who love him.

Pac will make Cotto look like a lumbering oaf.

Judah's speed gave Cotto problems, Pac's speed will cut him to pieces.

What pisses me off is that people don't realize that it was Clottey who made Cotto look bad. ff's sake margarito broke the record for most punches ever thrown in a combubox fight, and he stood right in front of him and it was close. 7-5 margarito and Clottey was winning every round before he hurt his hand.
