Everything you said is true except you forgot one thing.
Cotto know how to slow down fighter and sometimes he gets dirty doing it.Watch this,at one point they will come in contact and Cotto will hit Manny's balls or rabbit punch. The only way Manny wins is if he lands very good clean shots first round and drop Cotto the way he did Hatton. If he doesnt he is in for a very painful last fight. This will be Judah-Cotto 2

Another thing is people underestimate Clottey, that guy is very good and noone will look good against Clottey

I respect your opinions, but the Cotto performance against Clottey, was IMO his best performance. Looking at what Clottey was doing to him in rounds 5, 7 and 8, I thought Cotto was done. But he reached down and actually hurt Clottey in the 9th and created enough tentativeness in Clottey to steal the fight. How many guys after the beating he took from Margarito would have mentally folded in rounds 7 and 8 against Clottey? I think he elevated his game against Clottey, I think he broke through to another level mentally and he had the ring smarts to steal rounds. I agree that he has work to do in terms of his boxing, but as a fighter, he showed me somthing I hadn't seen before in him.

Larry, you have to remember that Clottey has a much better defense than Pacquiao and he's much bigger. Clearly it's been the bigger fighters that have given Cotto problems (Clottey, Margarito, Mosley) while guys that are smaller haven't given him nearly as much trouble.

And on the defense, Cotto won't be facing a guy like Clottey that basically likes to cover up and unload when openings are presented. He's fighting a guy that forces the action and leaves himself open during exchanges.

That being said, Pac's speed will give Cotto problems. But from what I've seen, speed (Judah, Malignaggi) is not what kills Cotto, size and strength do.

I think if Cotto brings his A game, he'll have his greatest victory yet.

I saw the fight and it seems like Cotto is not quite the same fighter. If Clottey had more of a punch Cotto would have been in trouble. I used to think Cotto would be to much for Pac Man but now i think Pac man will beat him especially if he moves down in weight. The first post called it right. Clottey is more of a defensive fighter and he did some damage to Cotto that night. Now I imagine what Pac man would do!

I agree with a lot of this. I think now that Miguel has an L on his record, he is truly fearless. Did you see him smile and stick his tongue out after he got cut?

I think what you were seeing was tentativeness as he worked through the mental damage from the Margarito fight. When a fighter takes a beat down, he either works through it or he's never the same. Cotto just worked through it. I think his next few fights will be his best.

Agree with you. Cotto has a permanent hole right in the middle of his guard. Clottey was consistently effective at breaking through that hole with jabs. Now replace the jab with Pacquiao straight lefts and it's goodnight, Miguel. He also leans in with his head.

Pacquiao will win. Sometimes I think he wins easily but I don't wanna say too much because rash comments and bold predictions are often wrong. I honestly feel Cotto won't be a problem, though, and it's not my inner fanboy talking, I genuinely like and respect Cotto, I'm somewhat of a fan.
