I'm an expert in my field, just a few things I can tell you a big story from a few leads.Doctors are not different, those who know their stuff dont need much detail. From watching it on telly they can even tell you how deep that cut is and how long it takes to heal.

If that Doctor was quoted at all then would take heed. The most important thing the doctor mentions is the risk.Cotto will heal no doubt but he will risk the cut opening agains. If you have ever gone for surgery you will understand

I think the scar should be healed buy the time of the fight but I dunno if during the training while it heals it may cause problems. I am no doc so I have no clue. Either way Cotto is known for not backing down so if the shot for pac is out there he would take it and he deserves the payday. But still if the cut trully needs its time I would not bother to wait and see the fight later on or a SSM vs Cotto II for the sake of WW division supremacy.

I honestly don't think it makes much of a difference. With Pac's slicing punches, I think the cuts gonna open up regardless if the fight happened in November or in 2010. That's just gonan be something Cotto will have to deal with for the rest of his career. Doesn't help that it's gonna be a southpaw vs. an orthodox fighter.

Cotto can't give this up though. Though the fight is kinda bull**** to us, as a fighter, this is the kind of money and recognition fighters work so hard for.

If it only took 6 stitches to close that cut, then those are some big ass stitches. I had a 1 1/2 inch cut over my eye and it took 5 stitches. Cotto's looked about 10 times worse than mine.
