  • When Has Boxing Ever Had A Card Like UFC 100?

    Brock Lesnar VS Frank Mir
Georges St. Pierre VS Thiago Alves
    Dan Henderson VS Michael Bisping

    The card is stacked.

I know I will get flamed and hit with red karma for this thread but I'm asking because I seriously want to know. If boxing never has thrown a card like this, then there are things that boxing could learn from UFC. Your product is worthless if it isn't wrapped up all pretty. Why do you think the iPod sells so wel as opposed to the ugly Zune. It's attractive, it draws you in. More fights in one PPV event would draw more people in. Imagine they had thrown another big matchup on the Floyd/Hatton or Oscar/Floyd card. You'd have untouchable PPV records.

Don't automatically go into the whole "it's gay and boxing is better" routine please. Lets have an intelligent discussion for once without ****phobic remarks and trying to discredit the sport as two gay dudes rolling around on the floor.

      holy.....freaking..........god.

There's like a 10 page thread on this explaining why that is literally impossible in boxing to have a card like that.

You can't compare boxing and mma, the businesses are completely different.

        No.

Boxers get paid ALOT more money, it wouldn't be financially feasible to make this card.

forrest griffin and anderson silva are making less than 200,000 each for fighting eachother

          thats a headline fight

so naturally you can stack cards when the fighters are getting paid crap

So how about less boxing PPVs and better cards.

Would make for more memorable events.

And you would promote more fighters at once.

Commercial MMA is a relatively new sport. Boxing has been around for centuries. Give the UFC time and they won't be making cards like that, when the fighters start making multi millions each fight.
