Was JCC a ***** for "making" Whitaker fight at 145? Did it effect the outcome?

No, but it will mean he worked a little bit harder on weigh in day to make it down.

Oh, I agree. I'm just sayin the way Pull was saying that it seemed like he felt it would make a difference in what weight Cotto would rehydrate to.

[QUOTE=Pullcounter;5508972]because cotto will be a middleweight on fightnight and pac will be a welterweight on fight night. [QUOTE]

So what, wasn't DLH a SMW while Mayweather was a WW? Big deal man, Pacquiao is a great fighter and like Mayweather, doesn't just take size to beat him. Pacquiao is more then capable, he should go up to 147. He can capture another belt.

So what? It would still be for the title at 144 or 145. Oscar made Hopkins come down to 156 when they fought, and it was still for all the marbles.

pac fighting cotto at 147 lbs is suicide.

**** no!!! cotto is a big WW. he's a middleweight on fight night.

are you nuts!!! cotto was 146 lbs last saturday and he look fine. 145 lbs is only 1 lbs for cotto to come down. pac was 138 lbs against hatton. that's 7 lbs for pac to come up.

cotto's has too much of a size advantage at 145 lbs.

exactly, so cotto has to sacrifice a little to make the fight fair.

yep its not the same. mosley and cotto are way too big for pac. they are middleweights by fight night and pac is a welterweight.

nah 145 is not good. that's only 1 lbs for cotto to lose, pac would have to come up 7 lbs.

cotto's size advantage is too much at 145 lbs.

I'm saying 145 just so the haters will stfu and I believe pacquiao will beat him at any weight. I agree 144 is the fairest though.

Also, I consider guys like Margarito big welterweights. Cotto is the same height & reach as pacquiao. Yes, he does weigh more on fight night and that is an advantage, but he's still smaller than the "big" welterweights imo. I mean Cotto couldn't fight at 154, that would be crazy. But Kermit Cintron, Margarito, Paul Williams, etc can easily fight at 154 and beyond.
