It's strange, it's not as if he slightly slows down the pace... he literally takes his foot off the gas.

If he could do that, he's a better boxer than Margarito... he'd be a real handful

At this moment I'd pick Mosley.
He proved in some of the rounds against Cotto that when he comes forward and throws, he is alot to deal with.

he always takes his foot off the pedal though.

I just feel Margarito's workrate helps him beat Clottey everytime.

      Clottey simply can't keep up.

Margarito's next fight will be interesting though, will hopefully answer a few questions regarding his power, etc.

        REwatch the fight bro.

Clottey wins SIX unarguable rounds, and a spin round that seems to favor clottey more than margi. 7-5, clottey.

The judges gave margi a round where Clottey started running (shades of cotto/clottey) yet Margi never threw a punch, he got incredibly confused, whilst clottey landed 4 combos. it was a EEEEAAAASY clottey round that the jduges gave to Margi.

People honestly should rewatch the fight. it's a draw at the very least.

I will give it a rewatch. I seen Clottey controlling the fight early but fading as it went on due to Margarito's high output and because he injured his hands.

            Yeah he definitely faded.

What changed the fight for me on the rewatch, is i realized Clottey
actually won rounds 8 and 10 which i initially had him losing. In round 10 he
runs like a scalded dog and it's incredibly effective.. I can't help but picture
what PBF would have done to Margi with the effective bicycle lol.

No because he doesn't have as much a fanbase compared to other welterweights in the loaded division. He does have the skill that would qualify him as a top fighter but the intangibles aren't favoring him.

I'm sure his corner has to bring this up to him after his big fights. I even told him on Facebook before the fight that he had to pressure to 12 rds to win because of the fight conditions (NY, eve of the PR Day Parade) He probably does not read all the posts but still he had to know this before hand, especially given is lack of notoriety.

You may be right I think that his lack of a high workrate is his biggest weakness.

The only way he loses is if a quicker fighter like Zab dances round him without letting him get his feet set.

                      It sure is.

He would of probably beat Margarito and Cotto if he was able to substain a workrate in a hard fight.
