That is sad but so true because the last time I tuned to watch him fight, I too fell asleep. He should change his nick name to Dr. Chloroform

If there is absolutely NOTHING else to do on that night, I'll make an attempt to watch it. After being traumatized by the sheer boredom of Wlad/Ibragimov, its very hard for me to watch Wlad against anyone who isnt gonna go in there and throw bombs. This is why his fight with Haye was so intruiging.

Look, I've said it before either in this thread or a few others today already - Chags looked utterly crap against Drumond before that bull**** pussified cut stoppage, and I reckon would've lost had it gone the distance. Drumond looked like a bum too, but he made Chags look no better than himself - hence, not a world champion by any stretch.

I've also seen a couple of other fights (mostly all YouTube'd a while ago, no sound except for one) in which he just stood there hunched up and throwing sloppies. The commentator even called him a waste of space. What is it about him that could possibly suggest he's an "excellent" fighter, worthy of having worn the once-coveted WBA strap at any point?

I'll keep saying it - whether I blame Haye for the injury or not, it doesn't change the fact that this match is like a consolation prize at best. Even for Wlad to fight Valuev would've been more entertaining, if only to see that cunting sack of nothing get toppled by a quadruple left hook.

Jeez, rant over... I just hope Wlad stops him, period.

I just wonder about Chagaev's power and if he can throw the left quick enough and hard enough to jolt Wlad.

Overall since Sanders and Brewster, Wlad has done a good job against left hands.

I hope this isn't similar to the Ibragimov fight but I would be crazy not to watch someone going for 3 belts in the heavyweight division. You're right.
            If I didn't, I couldn't call myself a real fan.

Although also a very tall fighter obviously Wlad is a totally different ballgame than Valuev. However that fight proved that Chagaev has the moves and skills to avoid getting tagged on the outside and be effective on half-distance and inside. Valuev, as I said, is no Wlad but there are similarities.

On the other hand Chagaev is no Haye and far from it. Haye is an orthodox ****er while Chagaev is a southpaw boxer. I don't care that Wlad says that the transition to a southpaw will be no problem. I think it will.

I dont know i have seen some terrible heavyweight title fights over the years Bonecrusher vs Tyson comes to mind, Wlad used to be a veryexciting fighter before Manny change his style Its much more effective but not so great to watch anyway i hope he sparks Chageav out he looked terrible in the Drumond fight.

Whoa, someone who actually saw it for what it was! :shk1: That was one of the worst fights of the year, and the most idiotic stoppage for a while.

Khan-Barrera had major reasons to be stopped, but Chags-Drumond was outright pussification(?) from the ref and officials - they just wanted to maintain his padded undefeated streak.
