Southpaw, do you feel this is a winnable fight 40yr old Roy?
No dout Reed. Green struggled with Mundine's speed of foot and skill in there bout in 2006. Roy may be getting on, but I feel he still may have enough left for Green. Who is rather limted, just a good pressure fighter with good fitness and heart.

It could be similar to the Sheika fight, do Green may put up a better fight. But unless Jones has aged deeply overnight, Green may cause a upset. But I highly dout it.

If Jones can get wins over Lacy and Green, he may very well be in store for a Title shot. Jones's is a shadow of what he once was, but thats how good he was in his prime. Because even at 40 years of age and with over 50 fights, we are still talking about him in Word Title fights.

Interesting little note, is that Roy Jones's farther trained Anthony Mundine for the Danny Green fight in 2006. Mundine flys out to Roy Jones Sr Gym.

Jones Sr speaks very highly of Mundine. Mundine also once said he was going to help out Jones Jr for the Felix Trinidad fight, but I don't know whether it come about.

Well damn, I did not know that... all good things.

And yes like you said, he is nothing what he once was, but that is how he good he was lol...

Froch and Adamek COULD be winnable... but they still scare me, I really dont wanna see Roy get hurt again.. It will depend on how he looks with Lacy and Green... and even then, it would still be hard to tell how he handles an elite fighter again...

Agreed even do I feel there are big fights Jones can still win, I do fear for his safety in the ring. Adamek may be to young, fresh and strong for Jones at this stage. But Adamek at times does seem to struggle with speed and movers, so maybe Jones could cause him problems.

I feel fights like Jeff Lacy, Danny Green and Clinton Woods are all winnable fights for Jones at this stage.

I agree that these fights are all winnable. It's just that it is hard to imagine them making any real money, unless he fights Green or Woods in their own countries. And we all know how Roy feels about fighting overseas.

Y'all are on some ****. Roy doesn't have the legs to hold off Adamek, he would eventually lay on the ropes and get in his shell which Tomasz would break through with his strength and power. Even if RJ didn't lay on the ropes in a shell, Adamek would figure him out and KHTFO.

Froch is another story, but I don't see RJ beating him either. Constant pressure + power + good output + good chin + determination= Jones getting knocked out

I don't dubt that Roy will get past Lacy, he ain't that much, i planned to go to the fight but don't think i can afford it. I haven't seen any Green fights, he's better than Lacy i suppose? Maybe Roy could fight the winner of Dawson-Johnson supposing it's Johnson?

Greens a coward, he won the LH title from Stripe Drews in the lowest fight i have ever seen in my life.Drews threw 7 punchers a round(Green paid him 1.5 Mil to come 2 Oz).Then just 3 weeks b4 he was going to fight Hugo Garay he retired. Just b4 x-mas 2007 he going to fight Tarver but the fight didnt come off because Danny accused Tarver of pulling out of the fight(bull****)I hope Roy smashes the prick,he full of it.
