The US would accept a Drago-like fighter. Wlad's not that. He has the look of Drago, but not the style.
You make it seem like that was Wlad's only fight in America, he has fought in America many times and has been very impressive and entertaining. I admit Wlad/Sultan was a lackluster fight, but Wlad still dominated and got the win. Styles make fights and Ibragimov's awkward defensive southpaw style made it a lackluster fight. He was leaning back out of range waiting to counter punch all night, Wlad was too smart and didn't take the bait, he continued dominating with his excellent jab. Wlad knocked down Ibragimov and tried to finish him, but Sultan has a good chin, he survived and went the distance.

Wlad has had a lot of very impressive and exciting performances in America.

    - Wlad destroyed Brock in New York
    - Wlad destroyed Mercer in Atlantic City
    - Wlad destroyed McCline in Las Vegas
    - Wlad schooled Peter in Atlantic City
    - Wlad destroyed Bostice in New York
    - Wlad destroyed Shufford in Las Vegas

I will never forgive Wlad for his performance against Barney Rubble, especially because I foolishly used it as a launchpad to try to get my friend into boxing as well (I assumed brutal knockout, lol). His safety-first, jab "to make pizza face" style is so boring.

Without the K. Bros, right now a very good SMW or LWH could move up and beat whoever is considered the best HW by default....Wlad and Vitali are the standard bearers for HW boxing right now like it or not.

from what i have seen, the heavyweights and cruiserweights are thriving in Europe, the HW division is far from dead in Europe

Seeing the headline. Vitali vs Wlad, would put a hell of a lot more asses in seats and in front of TVs than any other match up in the HW division.
NO,I'm not ukranian and I'm interested by the heavyweight division...

The last Wlad's fight, was borin simply cuz Rahman didn't fight back...But seein Wlad battering Rahman cautiously wasn't so borin except that Rahman didn't fight back like a ***...

Wlad vs Tony T. wasn't bori but a fight between two skilled big men.

Wlad vs Austin was a highlight knock out.

Wlad vs Ibragimov was borin for sho cuz it was a fight beteen two counter punchers,I'm afraid that it'll the same **** with Chagaev.

It's just most people fall asleep before he jabs his opponent to sleep.

agree with you 100%, Wlad need to put in a great performance on saturday..He has all the ingredience to be a global star because he has everything except the way he performs in the ring. Very smart and educated guy, Very funny and has the good look like you pointed out.

If he can mix all of that with a great performance then people would start talking about him in a great way, If he just go in there and jab, jab, jab then clinch on for dear life everytime he see a right hand coming towards him then people are going to be turned right off.

Why do people like to blame Wlad's opponents for him not pulling the trigger??? Against Tony thompson it was because tony didnt fight back, Against Ibragimov it was because ibra was a dangerous southpaw and was too defensive and now against Rahman who has seen better days it was because he didnt fight back???

If Rahman didnt fight back then it should have been easy for Wladimir to walk him down sooner and KO him, But he just refuse to pull the trigger until he knows rahman was NO longer a threat. Dont blame Rahman for that blame Wlad, Rahman was there to make Wlad look good but he still couldnt impress anyone.
