Gotta agree with Hops and the Bringer here man. HBO have not been to helpful of ol Hops, the least they could do is give him one last big fight. I mean the guy is a legend, that doesn't come around often so give the guy a fight, and a belt in another division. A SMW or CW belt woulda been awesome, and both he coulda exploited and looked good imo, but it's gone on too long now and I can't see him fighting anyone unfortunately, too much politics.

Mosely hasn't been treated great either, but I can't help but feel he's been a bit lazy just having had one fight back at WW and now standing back demanding the world. Keep busy Shane, and flirt with the idea of others fights a bit more and you might bring some interest.

Both are gona be left in the lurch imo because of just waiting around only for something big. Not gona happen unfortunately.

What with him wanting the world after starching Tony. But that win was pretty gigantic, especially when you consider how most people felt as if Mosley was going to his own funeral that night.

HBO has a history of neglecting certain fighters in favor of others though. Showtime is the far better network for balanced, unbiased coverage.

But unfortunately, HBO holds the most power, being they have the most money and connections.

Maybe Mosley or Hopkins should consider jumping ship and going with Showtime, if at all possible.

But if they did that, they wouldn't get those big fights they're looking for because HBO has the rights to most of the big names out there.

Mosley should be able to make some decent coin fighting Clottey right now. Two guys coming off of high profile fights. Should really put some steam behind the winner being a shoe in for a bigger fight. I like this match up over either one fighting Paul Williams right now.

I think Bernard and Shane chose they're destinies in that respect. Shane's not gona choose ST over HBO easily I don't think, and Nard should have played the field more. The two of them are partially to blame in this regard because they are a tad greedy.

But over all it's disapointing. From a sports perspective these are two great fighters towards the ends of they're careers, and both home grown American guys whom are getting **** on a bit really by they're local networks over money. Typical really.

They both deserve good fights up next but for once I can kinda see why they've not happened. They've stood back a little arrogantly and hoped a big fight would just come together. Well it just hasn't, sometimes you have to work for it. I will say Floyd bloody doesn't though, he's completely right there.

If Hops doesn't fight again when he coulda had an afforable fight against Froch or Adamek and become a 3 weight world champ and looked great in his last fight, and Shane goes a fair bit longer with no fight and then not a super one, then HBO should hang they're heads in shame. I read an article on they're poor budgeting this year so far, they clearly hadn't even planned for Hops or Shane to be at the top again and in the running for biggish fights.

There is an interview at boxing talk where hopkins seem pissed at the way Golden boy/HBO seem to have elevate Mayweather above anyone else, He said he's done with boxing and the way Mosley has been treated.
