And Pacquiao is really turning me against him. His last four opponents were coming off unimpressive performances in either their last fight or the one before that. When I'm a fan of a boxer, I've got high standards. And Mosley has more credibility than Cotto does regardless of whose fan base is bigger. Manny needs to beat him if he wants to be recognized as a 7-division champ. He's the better fighter than Cotto. Mosley destroyed the guy with the high work rate and Cotto barely squeaked by the guy with the low work rate. Do the math.

Well, the truth is that NO FIGHTER is their "own fighter". When you sign a promotional contract, you are basically selling your rights to the promoter in exchange for certain guarantees. You don't retain the right to choose your opponents. You have given that right to the promoter. Fighters can stand there and say "I want so and so" and it doesn't amount to **** because if the promoter don't want it then it ain't happening (Darchinyan-Donaire 2?). Cotto is actually being honest saying "its up to my promoter", because it IS up to the promoter. Does the marketability of guys like Pac or Cotto give them a bit more leverage than the average Joe? Of course it does. But at the end of the day it's up to whoever controls the promotional rights of that fighter.

Make no mistake, Pac-Cotto is happening because thats the fight Bob wants. Thats the fight Bob wanted all along, and Floyd-JMM falling out just allowed Bob to make the fight now rather than having to wait till after July 18.

The great thing though about Pac-Cotto getting made is that it keeps the "Pac avoids black fighters" debate alive for the rest of the year. lol

Mosley blantanly ducking Williams, denying berto of a match, saying a Cotto rematch is a stepbackwards and begging to fight Pacquiao si making him look like a straight up *****!!!!!
SSM is not the only one ducking PW! You know this right?

The one thread said that Pacquiao demanded Arum to make the fight with Cotto for November.I wonder why? Could it be that after 6 rounds, Cotto seems to get tired and retreat? I'm starting to suspect that Cotto might have stamina issues just like Jermaine Taylor. The difference is, Cotto fights smarter down the stretch. He's retreated after 6 rounds in his last 3 fights.Pacquiao and Roach are smart guys. They know if they can survive 6, Manny's speed and pressure could win them the fight. That is definitely not the case with Mosley. So that's the reason Mosley is the second choice. But if Manny Pacquiao is the best p4p fighter in the entire world, he needs to fight an elite black fighter.Be it Mosley, Mayweather, or the winner of Bradley vs Campbell, prove me and the critics wrong. Until he fights at least 2 of these guys,he is just another HYPED UP fighter thats riding that money wave. Its time for him to fight THE BEST that's out there.Hatton was far from being the best, just a big name. De La Hoya was not at his best either. Who can dispute that?Mosley and Mayweather are at the top of their game. Bradley is young and undefeated and hungry. Campbell is a crafty veteran.Pacman is in his prime. He has at least 5 or 6 mega fights left in him. The people want to see it.Damn, at least De La Hoya fought EVERYONE! He wanted to be the best so he fought the best. Even though he lost a few, he made his money and became well respected. Manny should follow in his foot steps instead of playing the rest of his career safe.

Answer this question! What belt does cotto currently hold?

Do you know who VACATED that belt b4 he won it against jenings?

I call it like I see it. Even when it pertains to my fav fighters. U should do the same!

                    don't bother , onepunch.

the guy is just basically quoting what floyd says as gospel.

he's buying into floyd's "i'm my own man" and "i don't work for nobody" bull****.

if he was his own man , then why sign with golden boy to handle you?

i wouldn't trust floyd to be able to run a lemonade stand.
