or do you like it how he gives promoters ways of making the fight?
Definately props on getting fights made....and not the other way around....although the Hatton fight almost fell thru due to purse split....but I would blame that on Manny's greedy @$$ "advisors".....

It wasn't every pound over 145, it was every pound over 147. Oscar could have weighed in at 147 if he wanted to, but for whatever reason didn't.

        That's right, that's what I thought.

I think the TS's lack of accurate information is what prompted this thread.

        I forgive him though

          Working on finding the link.....

Meantime....think about it....why did DLH weigh in at 145lbs and not the Welter-limit of 147? If I'm not mistaken...Manny actually came in 1lb heavier than DLH come fight night....

Why are people giving him **** about fighting at catchweights?
It is not his fault that other fighters that want a piece of him are at a naturally heavier weight (Cotto=WW, Shane=WW, Hatton=JWW, Floyd=JWW/WW, Margarito=WW/JMW, Oscar=JMW/WW etc...)

I don't believe in catchweight fights but you can't give an advantage to another fighter when it comes to weight....if people want a piece of Manny...then they have to agree to his terms and conditions....notice that the Welterweights are calling out the JR.Welter king out...probably because they believe their "weight" will be their advantage...which is what DLH loss when he came in lighter than Pac on fight night.

Same can be said if someone else was the draw....example....if Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Alfredo Angulo, James Kirkland all called out Floyd...wouldn't Floyd make them come down to at least Welterweight? Floyd DID fight DLH at 154....so why not fight the above at their weight? Won't.....because then you give them the advantage....

You can't fault Manny's camp...more specifically Roach, for protecting his fighter against bigger fighters who would normally come in around 155+ lbs on fight night.

                DISCUSS.....
Fight JWWs then, or whatever your weight is. if you want to get credit for beatings somebody, you have to fight that guy at a proper weight.

I mean, will you give manny Credit if he KTFO Pavilk at 47? or Kesler at 52? Ect,ect, ect.

Getting people to unhelthy weights is a ***** move, whether is comming up or down.

peopl cant be ****ng on mayweather for taking on JMM at 144, but then praise Manny for getting COtto or Mosley or evev FLoyd himself to lower than 147. thats a ***** move!!!!!
