Criticism of Manny "Catchweight King" Pacquiao...

I saw that nickname in another post....and I was thinking....

Why are people giving him **** about fighting at catchweights?
It is not his fault that other fighters that want a piece of him are at a naturally heavier weight (Cotto=WW, Shane=WW, Hatton=JWW, Floyd=JWW/WW, Margarito=WW/JMW, Oscar=JMW/WW etc...)

I don't believe in catchweight fights but you can't give an advantage to another fighter when it comes to weight....if people want a piece of Manny...then they have to agree to his terms and conditions....notice that the Welterweights are calling out the JR.Welter king out...probably because they believe their "weight" will be their advantage...which is what DLH loss when he came in lighter than Pac on fight night.

Same can be said if someone else was the draw....example....if Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Alfredo Angulo, James Kirkland all called out Floyd...wouldn't Floyd make them come down to at least Welterweight? Floyd DID fight DLH at 154....so why not fight the above at their weight? Won't.....because then you give them the advantage....

You can't fault Manny's camp...more specifically Roach, for protecting his fighter against bigger fighters who would normally come in around 155+ lbs on fight night.

How many catch weights has Pacman had? ZERO.

And you're right, Pacman is the king of boxing right now. EVERYONE wants a piece of him higher weight classes and lower. ****, even Vic Darchinyan wants pacman!!

Pacman is the new Golden Boy, everyone wants to make $$$ off of him. If they want too, and they are not in his weight class, it's not the Pound 4 Pound KING's obligation to go up or down in weight, they either meet him at 140 or must agree on some sort of catch weight. Simple as that.

And Cotto, lmao. You bitches are complaining over 1-2 pounds. Cotto weighed in at 146 against Clottey, so that means he'll have to shed a whopping pound or two and that's it. WOW OMG PACMAN IS A ***** PHUCK HIM!!! gtho

            DLH.....

And I didn't give him that nickname...again...I saw that nickname floating around some other post and decided that that is an unfair nickname to give the "current" P4P king.....he's the fighter to beat right now if you are in or around his weightclass (140lbs) so if you want him....either lose some weight....gain some weight....but he has proven himself again and again....so man up...no excuses...if you lose via weight drainage....or 2nd Round KO....you signed the contract....go and take care of business.....

NO....I AM NOT A PAC-HUGGER as the term goes...but I am a boxing fanatic and have NO ALLEGIANCE to one fighter....(use to be Floyd...but after Baldomir win....I saw the light)

Technically...it WASN'T a catchweight fight....but the DLH contract stated that for every pound that DLH came in over 145lbs....he would've been penalized $1mil.......so on paper it was a Welterweight fight...but DLH wasn't willing to cough up $2mil for HIS ADVANTAGE over Pac....and it cost him more than that....he quit on his stool for everyone to see against a smaller man.

I believe that the nickname that is floating around is due to all the potential fights that Pac could make happen....Mosley at 143/144lbs....Cotto at 144lbs...Mayweather below 147lbs.....I think I saw if he ever fought Margocheato it would be no higher than 145lbs......so the nickname came about....but yet he "technically" has never had a "catchweight" fight.....

catch weights are bull****. ppl go up in weight to fight the fights the want to fight. manny needs to get with the program if he want full credit for his next few wins imo.
