the fact that cotto hits harder than anyone floyd has faced. also, the fact that floyd is human and it eventually will happen if he fights someone who is a threat and not someone coming up eighty weight classes for a pay day.
aside from his ko of hatton. look at when most of his ko's occured.
Ok, found Floyds records, pretty much. Most of his wins were TKO's in the earlier rounds, a few in the later, and a SP. Not being sarcastic, but what's your point about when Floyd's tko's occured re; a PBF-Cotto fight? How would this affect the fight, if and when it ever happens?

Edit;
i just saw your post above mine...lol. Yeah, i agree...Floyd has gotten soft, he's all about money, whereas Cotto has been active dealing with real fighters, not just swingers that make him look good, but actually give hi a real hard time. Cotto has proved himself in every fight. Never dancing throu the later rounds, just trying not to get hit, counting on his earlier rounds to get him the win.
Yeah, Cotto is "harder" than Softweather. Like i said...1 good left hook to the liver and it's all downhill from there.
the posts i have been reading saying cotto would beat floyd are very funny... you know why? because i haven't read a breakdown of styles in one post...all i'm heairng is floyd is about the money and he is a ***** and all of the usual, unimportant bull****, so i'll end my post by saying this...floyd would dominate cotto...cotto has slowed down so much, and i guarantee you floyd hasn't...floyd is injured right now, but he i know he'll recover soon and be back at 100%...when that happens, jmm is the 1st victim, although that pains me to say because jmm is a legend in the sport, and he is evertything great about the sport of boxing, but floyd is the truth...cotto would get torn apart by floyd, period...i've broken the fight down already so many times...
floyd has been away from the sport for a year and now has a rib injury...you cant tell if any of his skills have dimenished since then...maybe they have...maybe they havent.
cotto hasnt been consistant lately (in my opinion)...he's defense is shakey and his endurance has been lacking since the mosley fight...
Cotto does his best work pressing the fight,it won't look like that fight with Clottey at all,I think people are judging Cotto after that Clottey fight,but Clottey gives problems to anyone at welterweight!!With Cotto in full pressure mode and no serious fire power comming back and nothing to break his confidence in his body work,I seriously think Cotto would bully floyd all night and rough him up and beat floyd!!
"cotto hasnt been consistant lately (in my opinion)...he's defense is shakey and his endurance has been lacking since the mosley fight..."
What can we expect after what plastido did to him, That would huant any boxer, but Cotto is not just any boxer. He's a true champion. Did he not win the Jennings fight with cheato's ghost riding on his shoulders? And a belt? (i just watched the Jennings fight on utube...how the hell did jennings ever get a belt??) Did he not overcome extreme adversity boxing a magnificent boxer in Clottey with one eye, winning, (by a hair), but winning nonetheless? Does he walk around, bragging, shooting his mouth off, "calling" guys out? He's a respectful, respectable humble fighter. Like i said, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and he's still young, heading towards his prime, imo. That "calling guys out" crap really turns me off.
I think he's been through the ringer, and now can look back and improve on his weaknesses. If I'm right...we are going to see a very much improved Cotto in his next fight. If his defence, endurance and consistancy wasn't up to par in his fight with Clottey, he would have lost big time with 1 eye. I rewatched the fight again last night and re-ran questionable parts of it. I still have Cotto barely winning at 114-113. I also think Clottey embare-assed himself by complaining so much (free falling himself to the canvas...lol), while a 1 eyed Cotto was losing so much blood and never complained once.
And I think it's safe to assume that pretty much nobody is afraid of margo anymore. At least in his weight class.
