    Cotto's cut required 28 stitches

Doug Fischer talked to Cotto's cutman, Joe Chavez, the day after fight and he told him that the cut needed 28 stitches, seven on the inside and 21 on the outside. It's amazing the doctor didn't stopped the fight on cuts.

When did Cotto 'cry' or complain during any of his fights. He never once complained or said anything to the degree Saturday nor have I ever seen him petition to try and get a point deduction off one of his opponents a la Clottey or Cintron. His whole quit ordeal is BS. Look at the fight again and you'll see that Margarito landed a vicious body shot to Cotto and he never recovered in that 11th round. If he clearly beats someone why should he give them a rematch makes no sense.

What doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger. A lot of people here say Cotto's going downhill. I disagree. I think he's getting stronger, and this win over Clottey gave him back his confidence, which cheato took away, but i think Cotto realizes in retrospect that the fight he put up irregardless of loaded gloves adds to that confidence.

Clottey is one tough sob, and will give anybody a real hard time. Cotto overcame that gaping wound and stil came out the victor. I think he is headed for more wins. But i also think he should get another trainer, and work on his defence. So i think he's headed uphill, not downhill.
Just my 2¢. I just hope that eye heals up enough to not open again.
