whether you all like Tunney or not, and his Valuev punching comment is ******ed, Chagaev has a granite chin. We know this because A) he is slow, and B) Yes Felix Sasov hit him and such, so what, amatuers. Really it's based off of Vladimir Virchis. Virchis is the hardest puncher the heavyweights have seen since Eddie Shavers. Vitali has stated that he has never been hit so hard, same thing Sprott said (even though I thought Sprott beat him) and his recorded punch actually broke the measuring machine. The problem with Virchis is he is so slow that he doesn't land flush, and that he lacked the skills to set up his shots where he couldn't get that right hand on you. But Chagaev has no clue on how to move his head, so Virchis found his chin a few times. Taras *****ko refused to fight Virchis again even though he was beating his ass until he was caught with one shot and was laid out. He didn't want the pain anymore. Chagaev does have peripheal vision issues though. He can't see well in the bottom spectrum of his eyesight. Meaning, he doesn't see well in the clinch nor uppercuts coming. Luckily, Wlad has never thrown an uppercut, and can't fight on the inside.Comment

Valuev's only loss.
Well, Valuev stopped a younger, better version of Monte Barrett than your beloved Haye. And he is 50-1, with wins over people like Entienne (KO) McCline, etc. Valuev looked as old as Holyfield in the fight, men that size usually age prematurely.Comment

I agree with Paul, Chagaev has not really earned the moniker "iron chinned" nor has he earned the knickname "White Tyson" for that matter. And I that's a legitimate point to make. I don't ever remember seeing Chagaev getting hit that hard by any of his opponents although I did not see the Virchis fight.Comment

Hawkins hadn't been stopped in ten years, and had gone the distance with punchers like Tua and Peter.Comment

Why on earth are you defending Valuev? He is a joke. He clearly lost to Holyfield andLarry Donald (only to have the judges wrest victory from the hands of his opponents) one can logically argue that Ruiz won their first fight and McCline was the better man until he knee blew out (you really can't count that as a legitimate win). Valuev has a decent jab and an amazing chin, plus heighth. Thats why he has gone as far as he has, but he is the heavyweight version of Sven Ottke in the judging department.Comment

Valuev only fought him 2 years before Haye. Also taking 6 rounds longer and losing some rounds against him.
Out of Valuev's last 5 fights, 3 of them have been either an SD or MD, ****ing laughable, and he hasn't scored a stoppage win for 29 Months, and that stoppage was McCline quitting with a knee injury.
Valuev is such a bum it's not even funnyComment
